Iwata","doi":"10.1109/ISSIMM.2016.7803717","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/ISSIMM.2016.7803717","url":null,"abstract":"We have been demonstrated the detection of Fe3O4 nanoparticles by using giant magnetoresistance (GMR) sensor based on multilayer and spin valve thin films by using in Wheatstone bridge. The thin films were fabricated by DC magnetron sputtering method. The structure of multilayer thin film is [Co (1,5 nm)/ Cu (1,0 nm)]20 and spin valve thin film is IrMn (10 nm) / CoFe (3 nm) / Cu (2.2 nm) / CoFeB (10 nm). The Fe3O4 nanoparticles were synthesized by chemical coprecipitation method. The nanoparticles show superparamagnetic properties which saturation magnetization of 77 emu/gram and average particle size of 10 nm. The crystal structure of Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles was inverse spinel. The output voltage of Wheatstone bridge is linear to the Fe3O4 concentrations (0.1 mg/ml; 1 mg/ml; 10 mg/ml; 100 mg/ml). That gradient was 0.20 for spin valve thin film and 0.07 for multilayer thin film. The gradient shows that spin valve thin film more sensitive than multilayer. The magnetic moment of spin valve thin film was saturated easier than multilayer thin film. The magnetization of spin valve thin film could be saturated by external field of 20 Oe, while multilayer was 5000 Oe. It should be able to supply low current (1 mA) at 10 kHz–1 MHz and can support load between 100 Ω–10 kΩ. Moreover, it must have output impedance greater than 100 kD. In this study, we evaluated an Enhanced Howland (EH) and Triple Op-Amps (TOA) current sources with two different op-amps namely LM741 and AD844. The constant current was measured at 1 kHz to 1 MHz with two different loads (Resistor and Cole-Cole load). The results showed that the constant and high output impedance current sources for multi-frequency could be fulfilled both EH and TOA current sources prepared with op-amp AD844 and a Cole-Cole load. The constant current can be achieved up to 100 kHz for the op-amp AD844 while op-amp LM741 is only able to achieve up to 10 kHz. Meanwhile, measured output impedance showed that the EH current source is better than TOA current source. The output impedance of the EH current source was 1.18 MD at 1 kHz and was higher than 600 kD at 500 kHz, while the output impedance of the TOA current source was 1.16 MD at 1 kHz and was higher than 300 kD at 500 kHz. In this paper, a camera-based system for virtual measurement of the diameter of the inhibition zones is introduced using a non-metric camera. The hardware consists of a set of measuring instruments, light source, and a camera that connected to PC directly. The software consists of image processing techniques performing camera calibration, spatial calibration, virtual ruler interface and transforming pixel value to a meter value. A standard checkerboard with certain dimension and shape was used as calibrator object to generate camera and spatial calibration parameter. The measurement system was evaluated using a set of standard checkerboard object at various camera object distances, camera angles and object orientation. The average measurement error between actual and computed inhibition diameter obtained from the antimicrobial object are 0.932%, 0.847% and 1.136% at camera-object distance 15 cm, 20 cm and 25 cm, respectively. In-situ measurements are often constrained by the low-temperature difference between the indoor and outdoor side of a building, thus requiring a longer measurement time and a higher cost. This paper attempts to overcome these obstacles by measuring building envelope in the conditioned chamber. The materials being measured are replicas of envelope components of the Minang traditional house. The thermal resistance was obtained by using the summation method (summation technique) according to the ASTM C1155. The specimens of the Minang traditional house wall were wooden plank (specimen no. 1) and wooden plank plus woven bamboo slats (specimen no. 2) while that of the roof was bamboo frame plus sugar palm fibers (specimen no. 3). The obtained average thermal resistances of wooden plank wall and wooden plank plus woven bamboo slats wall were 0.13 m2.K/W and 0.38 m2.K/W, respectively. The addition of woven bamboo slats increased the thermal resistance of the wooden plank wall. For the bamboo frame plus sugar palm fibers roof, its average thermal resistance was 1. 32 m2.K /W. The cavity imaging for various types of denture materials, as well as the measurement of the diameter of the cavities are presented. The samples used in this study were Acrylic Denture, Nano Hybrid Composite, Varplast, Nano Filler, with a cavity diameter of 5mm per sample. Based on the analysis, the measurement of cavity diameter using the analog method resulted in 5.00 mm for Acrylic Denture, Nano Hybrid Composite, Varplast samples, and 5.50 mm for Nano Filler, with 97.65% of maximum accuracy. The feasibility of micro-displacement sensor system with fiber bundle 16 receivers using the optical imaging technique with a displacement order of 500 μm was able to measure the width of the sample cavity in denture materials with accuracy approximately between 89%–99.48%.
