The tracking performance degradation caused by outlier prompts a variety of robust filters. In this paper, an M-estimation-based robust bias compensation Kalman filter algorithm (MR-BCKF) is proposed. This algorithm recasts the AoA measurement equation to a linear form by pseudo-linearization, and then incorporates the M-estimation criterion into pseudo linear Kalman filter to enhance robustness, followed by the bias compensation to improve tracking accuracy. An improved three-segment weight function based on Mahalanobis distance is established to handle outliers for each element, which does not require the noise characteristics. Simulation demonstrates that MR-BCKF has enhanced robustness against outliers at different levels and achieves more accurate tracking compared with other robust filters.","PeriodicalId":117760,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE 3rd International Conference on Information Communication and Signal Processing (ICICSP)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127014799","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An improved mathematical modeling is developed for the analysis of network performance in terms of BER depending on prominent system parameters like number of hops, number of input fibers and number of wavelength channels per fiber. The power penalty due to accumulated crosstalk and noise at a given BER of 10-9 is analyzed and the optimum system design parameters are also determined numerically. Results show that there is a significant power penalty due to accumulated crosstalk depending on the number of hops. Maximum allowable number of hops at an allowable power penalty of the order of 12 dB depending on number of wavelength channels and number of input fibers are also evaluated.","PeriodicalId":117760,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE 3rd International Conference on Information Communication and Signal Processing (ICICSP)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127051818","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the transmitter of Generalized Spatial Modulation MIMO (GSM-MIMO) systems that characterized by a single RF chain and multiple active antennas is capable of reducing both the energy consumption and the transmitter cost. In this paper, combining GSM-MIMO systems with the fully digital Geometric Mean Decomposition (GMD)-based precoding scheme and Analog Beamforming (ABF) into Hybrid Beamforming (HBF) regime is presented for Millimeter-wave (mmWave) massive MIMO systems which is a key enabler for 5G networks. In addition, applying the norm-based user selection algorithm in GSM-MIMO scheme with GMD-based hybrid precoding is proposed, and referred to as Multiuser Steered GSM-MIMO (MUS-GSM-MIMO) scheme. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed schemes are capable of achieving considerable performance gains over the conventional GSM-MIMO schemes, while avoiding the overwhelming costs of multiple RF chains. Therefore, the proposed schemes are very efficient and highly suitable for large-scale and 5G wireless networks.","PeriodicalId":117760,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE 3rd International Conference on Information Communication and Signal Processing (ICICSP)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133420884","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But it will take a lot of time to align language cue to speech segment by the manual annotation of professional linguists. Instead of annotating the linguistic phonemes, we use the cooccurrence in speech utterances to find the underlying phoneme-like speech units by unsupervised means. Then, we model phonotactic constraint on the set of phoneme-like units for finding the larger speech segments called the suprasegmental phonemes, and extract the multi-levels language cues from them, including phonetic, phonotactic and prosodic. Further, a novel LID system is proposed based on the architecture of TDNN followed by LSTM-RNN. The proposed LID system is built and compared with the acoustic feature based methods and the phonetic feature based methods on the task of NIST LRE07 and Arabic dialect identification. The experimental results show that our LID system helps to capture robust discriminative information for short duration language identification and high accuracy for dialect identification.","PeriodicalId":117760,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE 3rd International Conference on Information Communication and Signal Processing (ICICSP)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131420458","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the source motion would greatly degrade the estimated impulse response for low broadband transmitted signals, and the multipath peaks would be smeared. Thus a wideband cross-ambiguity function is used to estimate the source velocity, and a uniform mot ion compensation for the Doppler scale factors is conducted for the estimation of the impulse response. Then inversion of the bottom parameters is performed by exhaustive parameter search. Results of a shallow water experiment using single elements of a horizontal linear array are discussed. After Doppler correction, the modeled impulse response with the optimal estimated parameters compares well with those measured results for different source depths. The inverted bottom parameters agree with expectations from the ground truth, demonstrating the applicability of the method.","PeriodicalId":117760,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE 3rd International Conference on Information Communication and Signal Processing (ICICSP)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131919130","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This work considers reliable recovery of data from such flash channels using a novel cascade of outer RS codes and inner quasi-cyclic (QC) LDPC codes. In this paper, designs and constructions of QC-LDPC code with reduction of short cycles are presented and an optimized computation cycles elimination (OCCE) algorithm is proposed. The performance of RS codes with different code rates and code lengths for concatenated codes is analyzed. Simulation results show that the decoding iterations of the QCLDPC codes in this paper compared with conventional QC-LDPC codes is reduced by up to 76% which depends on the code length of QC-LDPC at the bit error rate (BER) of 10-8. Unlike the traditional OFDM-IM system, which conveys the traditional M-ary constellation symbol on the active subcarriers, we use the adjacent subcarriers in the sub-block as a whole to be modulated based on high dimensional spherical code. Since the Euclidean distances between the constellation points increase by using high dimensional modulation, the performance of the OFDM-IM system is improved. We derive the general form of symbol error rate (SER) for the proposed OFDM-IM system with the maximum likelihood (ML) detection. The simulation results show that the bit error rate (BER) and SER of our proposed scheme is better than that of the traditional OFDMIM system. We also investigate the effect of channel estimation error on our proposed scheme.","PeriodicalId":117760,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE 3rd International Conference on Information Communication and Signal Processing (ICICSP)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116568849","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In recent years, dictionary learning methods has been widely used for MR image denoising, which are divided into two categories according to the different sparse regularizers: ℓ0 norm-based methods, ℓ1 norm-based methods. But ℓ0 norm will cause NP-hard problems, ℓ1 norm will cause problems such as weak sparsity and overpenalization. In this paper, we propose a novel MR denoising model based on dictionary learning with Minimax Concave Penalty (MCP) which is a nonconvex regularizer obtain unbiased results. To solve the problem efficiently, firstly, we apply local operations, patch-based dictionary for sparse representation. Secondly, we employ a decomposition method to transfer the whole problem to a set of subproblems, and then we employ alternating scheme for updating the dictionary and sparse coefficient alternately. To address the nonconvex subproblem with respect to the coefficient vector, we employ Difference of Convex (DC) technology and the Proximal Operator (PO) to obtain the closed-form solutions. Finally, we use the trained dictionary and the updated sparse coefficient to reconstruct the MR image, leading to an efficient denoising algorithm. In the experiment, we apply the proposed denoising algorithm to real-world data i.e. MR images of different parts of the human body to test the robustness, its denoising results are better than that of KSVD and SGK.","PeriodicalId":117760,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE 3rd International Conference on Information Communication and Signal Processing (ICICSP)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122195299","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Compressed sensing (CS), by which we can exact recovery sparse signal from very limited samples, suggests that sparse aperture imaging of precession target maybe achievable. A cyclic shift algorithm based on CS is proposed in this paper to exploit the sparse apertures data for high-resolution ISAR imaging. The sparse signal recovery and imaging of precession target is achieved coupled with FOCUSS (focal undetermined system solver) algorithm. A conventional ISAR imaging is a two-dimensional (2-D) range-Doppler projection of a target and does not provide three-dimensional (3-D) information which is more reliable. For missile shaped like a flat-bottom cone, multistatic ISAR geometry model is built, and a 3-D reconstruction method, which is featured with stable structure characteristics, is proposed based on multistatic ISAR images. Simulation and real data results verify the validity and superiority of the proposed method.","PeriodicalId":117760,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE 3rd International Conference on Information Communication and Signal Processing (ICICSP)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122605924","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, CNN with the single-scale convolutional kernels has limited ability to segment synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image with complex scenes. To overcome the problem, a hybrid model, named Inception-CRF model, is proposed, which composes of Inception network and conditional random fields (CRF) model. Firstly, Inception network enlarges the width of the network by setting several parallel convolution operations. Thus, the multi-scale features, which contain various representations and are beneficial for preserving the structure information, are extracted for constructing the pixel-wise unary potential. Secondly, to make full use of the context information, the spatial correlations are constructed as pairwise potential, which is robust against speckle. Finally, the spatial correlations and multi-scale features are incorporated into the posterior distribution to capture information more comprehensively. Experiments on the simulated and real images demonstrate the effectiveness of Inception-CRF model in SAR image segmentation.","PeriodicalId":117760,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE 3rd International Conference on Information Communication and Signal Processing (ICICSP)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124320735","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
