This criterion is the subject of binding regulations in various countries, to strengthen the presence of women in the management and governance of companies. Our study aims to investigate the results of governance mechanisms, especially board of directors ‘characteristics, on a bank’s performance. Specifically, we are examining how certain governance practices, such as gender diversity on the board and the CEO's dual role, affect a bank's performance. Indeed, these boards’ attributes are proven to reduce agency conflicts and enhance control mechanisms to serve in the best manner shareholders and contribute the better banks' performance. For our empirical methodology, we used panel data with a sample of 66 French banks observed during the period 2014-2018. The findings revealed a positive and statistically significant relationship between gender diversity and performance, as measured by the variable return on equity. We also discovered that director independence has a positive effect on performance. We observed a positive and significant effect on the bank's performance as a result of the CEO's duality. For control variables used: size and debt, the relationship with bank performance is positive with the size variable calculated as the log Book value of Total Assets. But the impact is negative between debt and banks' performance with low significance.","PeriodicalId":117695,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Sustainable Development and Green Technology","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123232244","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Cross-sectional data for six African nations from the years 2006 to 2020 were used to specify and evaluate an econometric model based on previous studies. It was performed using the SUR (Seemingly Unrelated Regression) approach. The results demonstrate the beneficial role played by financial innovation in advancing the financial inclusion process in Africa, including the development of new services via ATMs and the issuance of credit to the private sector. Few studies concentrate on the link between financial innovation and financial inclusion, despite the theoretical and empirical literature focusing more on their determinants. This study intends to enrich the field by exploring the link between financial innovation and financial inclusion in six African economies during the period from 2006 to 2020.","PeriodicalId":117695,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Sustainable Development and Green Technology","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125011290","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, there is a lack of understanding of the innovation activities taking place within these organizations to achieve these goals, specifically in the context of waste management strategies. This study aims to fill this gap by investigating the crucial tasks performed by Spherical Business Model Innovation (SBMI) innovators in companies with a consumer focus. Using a dynamic capabilities perspective, we examine the innovative actions in line with the SBMI phases of visioning, perception, seizing, and transforming. The research inquiry is focused on identifying the procedures and resources that aid businesses in developing flexible skills throughout the SBMI process. We conduct in-depth interviews with target respondents in three businesses and use thematic analysis to map the data to the four SBMI phases. Our findings supplement the existing literature on SBMI innovation efforts and provide additional guidance for corporate operators seeking to transform their businesses sustainably through the adoption of SBMI practices.","PeriodicalId":117695,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Sustainable Development and Green Technology","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115512206","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While the process of studying and making decisions on the international economic behavior of specific individual subjects in order to maximize the satisfaction of unlimited needs in the context of limited resources is a research object and subject of the field of international economy. The modern economic theories researched in the scientific article require wider use of mathematical instruments in the study of quantitative aspects of economic processes. One of the more widely used models in practice is the economic-mathematical model. An economic-mathematical model is a formalized classification of economic processes or phenomena, the composition of which is formed depending on the objective or subjective characteristics arising from the research purpose. Economic-mathematical models expressed quantitative aspects of economic processes through functions, equations, or inequalities.
