Travelers who want to plan their trips have to sift through a large pool of Web services before figuring out the best itinerary of places to visit. Such a process gets even more tedious when travelers need to satisfy specific constraints such as visit time and price. In this paper, we propose a linked open data (LOD) service recommendation approach to help travelers plan their trips (i.e., a sequence of places to visit) given a set of preferences and constraints. The proposed approach runs a three-step process. The first step consists of annotating a set of touristic Web services with LOD resources that describe their capabilities. The second step matches user constraints and preferences with Web service provided touristic information and returns a pre-list of itineraries. The third step runs a LOD-based matching between services to improve trips recommendation. Experiments conducted on real data show promising results.","PeriodicalId":116875,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 28th International Conference on Enabling Technologies: Infrastructure for Collaborative Enterprises (WETICE)","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128180318","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To foster the new Business Models of the Data and the Machine-to-Machine Economy, there are two needs: managing the plethora of sources of data and link them by a trusted, decentralized and scalable infrastructure. The two disruptive technologies able to foster this innovation are the Internet of Things (IoT) on the data-sources side and the Blockchain on the data marketplace side. In this paper we present a distributed data marketplace allowing different actors to purchase and monitor data streams coming from the smart city thanks to the use of IOTA technology, a Blockchain specifically developed for IoT networks. The marketplace is public and can be the starting point of other IOTA-based solutions.","PeriodicalId":116875,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 28th International Conference on Enabling Technologies: Infrastructure for Collaborative Enterprises (WETICE)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125560490","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

W2T 2019 includes ten full papers and one short paper. They all address relevant issues in the field of information sharing for collaboration, including, big data analytics, knowledge engineering, linked open data, applications of smart Web technologies, and smart care. The papers are a portfolio of hot issues in research and applications of semantics, smart technologies (e.g., IoT, sensors, devices for tele-monitoring, and smart contents management) with crucial topics, such as big data analysis, knowledge representation, smart enterprise management, among the others. This track shows how cooperative technologies based on knowledge representation, intelligent tools, and enhanced Web engineering can enhance collaborative work through smart service design and delivery, so it contributes to radically change the role of the semantic Web and applications.","PeriodicalId":116875,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE 28th International Conference on Enabling Technologies: Infrastructure for Collaborative Enterprises (WETICE)","volume":"2012 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114674760","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
