In the undersampling phase, first two membership functions are defined on each feature (dimension); one indicates the minority concept and the other shows majority concept. After that, each data sample receives a score based on its membership degrees in each dimension of the feature space. Majority samples with the highest scores are the best candidates of removal. Then during the Rotation Forest algorithm's train phase, a fuzzy Principal Component Analysis (F-PCA) is applied on the fuzzified values of samples which are produced in the undersampling phase. Moreover, these values are used to build the base classifiers of the ensemble. The obtained results illustrate the efficiency and noteworthy high performance of our proposed method comparing to the other state-of-the-art algorithms for class imbalance problem.","PeriodicalId":115653,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Symposium on Computer Science and Software Engineering (CSSE)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116675138","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We are considering the sensory modalities, affective and cognitive strategies and trying to solve mathematical learning difficulties such as lack of attention, distraction, stress or disabilities. Using a multimodal affective learning system will increase the encouragement in learning, and will help students develop grounded understanding of proportional equivalence e.g. 1/3 = 2/6.","PeriodicalId":115653,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Symposium on Computer Science and Software Engineering (CSSE)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131103045","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the challenges, which engaged researcher have faced, is immunizing the networks against virus dissemination. In this paper, we propose an efficient immunization algorithm against the epidemic diffusion model. Since the largest eigenvalue of the matrix of graphs is associated with the connectivity, the aim of the efficiency is decreasing this indicator significantly after immunization process in which virus spreading would also be ceased dramatically. Noteworthy outcomes we would like to highlight are: a) the proposed algorithm corresponds to the whole network structure rather than local information of nodes, and b) our algorithm performs better in networks with high clustering coefficient and transitivity.","PeriodicalId":115653,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Symposium on Computer Science and Software Engineering (CSSE)","volume":"120 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134619413","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Recently there have been some high-dimensional feature sets introduced in order to model a large number of dependencies between neighboring pixels and JPEG coefficients. Although using these high-dimensional models can increase detection rate, due to their dimensionality, they can induce some problems in the classification process. Furthermore, extraction of such excessively large models is time-consuming. Using a feature selection strategy can lead to selection of the most prominent features and as a result, it can decrease feature extraction time. Another advantage of feature selection can be detection of the features that should be preserved in the steganography process in order to avoid detection of steganography. In this paper, a new feature selection algorithm is suggested which utilizes two statistical measures (i.e., KS from Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and F from F-to-remove). For selecting features, the proposed method does not benefit from a classifier; therefore, it should be considered as a filter method. In the proposed method, according to F statistic which is available in F-to-remove method, a reordering is applied on the features. Afterward, the features are mutually compared using KS-test and if the distributions of the two features are equal, one of them is discarded. The comparison of the proposed method with a recently introduced filter-type method for this aim shows performance improvements in terms of the effectiveness of selected features.","PeriodicalId":115653,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Symposium on Computer Science and Software Engineering (CSSE)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123624476","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although these two aspects are complementary, they correlate with each other. The correlation may influence design and runtime decisions and lead us to make a tradeoff between adaptation and integration. In this paper, we propose an approach to find out the correlation between adaptation and integration in an SBA. This approach helps service integrator make decisions consistent with the current system's status. Moreover, over the course of selecting the best adaptation strategy, it takes system constraints into account. To validate the approach, we apply it on an Online bookstore.","PeriodicalId":115653,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Symposium on Computer Science and Software Engineering (CSSE)","volume":"75 8","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114017047","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
