There are three research questions in this research: (1) How did the lecturer teach Pronunciation Practice subject by using Google Classroom to the second semester students of English Tadris Study Program of State Institute for Islamic Studies Palu ?; (2) What are the advantages and limitations of using Google Classroom for teaching Pronunciation Practice to the second semester students of English Tadris Study Program of State Institute for Islamic Studies Palu?; and (3) What are the advantages and limitations of using Google Classroom for learning Pronunciation Practice based on the opinions of the second semester students of English Tadris Study Program of State Institute for Islamic Studies Palu? In gaining the date, the researcher used observation and interview as the instruments. From the observation, the researcher answered the first and second research questions as follow. The researcher did several steps in teaching Pronunciation Practice by using Google Classroom such as: (1) making three classes of Pronunciation Practice in Google Classroom for TBIG-1, TBIG-2, and TBIG-3; (2) sharing the link of Google Classroom to the students; (3) making the attendance list; (4) delivering the material to the students by attaching word files; (5) sharing YouTube videos of how native speaker pronouncing the sounds in the material; (6) giving assignment to the students by setting the deadline; and (7) returning the assignment to the students along with the score and the feedback in the comment column. The advantages by using Google Classroom for teaching Pronunciation Practice are as follow: (1) the easiness to deliver the material orderly; (2) the easiness to share YouTube videos; (3) the easiness to instruct an assignment; (4) the easiness to set the due date of the assignment; (5) the availability of scoring feature; (6) the privacy of lecturer’s feedback; and (7) no need to save students’ numbers. However, the limitations of Google Classroom are also found. Here are some of the limitations: (1) the unavailability of attendance feature; (2) the need of stable internet connection to upload a material file; and (3) the unavailability of feature to do oral class discussion. The third research question was answered by using the data from interview. The students described the advantages of using Google Classroom as follow: (1) easy to use; (2) flexible; (3) easy to send tasks; (4) not consuming much internet data; and (5) enabling students to watch YouTube videos shared by the lecturer related to the material discussed. This study used pre-experimental design research methods. The researcher chose class 10thas a sample consisting of 10 students. In collecting the data, researchers used four types of instruments, namely: pre-test, treatment, post-test and documentation. The result of the data calculation showed that mean score of the students’ pre-test was 40.9, it was lower than the mean score of post-test 52.6. In analyzing the data the researchers used the 0.05 and 0.01 degree of significance and df (degree of freedom) N-1. This study has two hypothesis which are the null hypothesis or Ho (there is no improvement of using role play to the students’ speaking skill, and the alternative hypothesis or Ha (there is improvement of using role play to the students’ speaking skill). It can be concluded that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. Whatsapp as one of free downloaded device applications become the most popular platform, especially among university students. It is also regarded as one of teaching and learning media that could facilitate collaborative learning even though in this online classes due to Covid-19 pandemic. \u0000Challenges in attracting students’ attention and interest become higher during online learning, since lecturer could not directly interact and teach students. Students are required to fast adapt this new way. This research investigates students’ response on using Whatsapp as a learning tool during the online English Classes at State Islamic Institute of Palu. To get the result, there were 62 students of English Study Program at Tarbiyah and Teaching Education Faculty given 17 items of questionnaire. The result shows the majority of the students have positive responses and enjoy using Whatsapp as a learning tool during online classes. The participants were 20 eleventh grade students. The researcher had carried out research during the pandemic, the number of students was limited by the school. The research employed true experimental and need pre-test and post-test to both experimental class and control class. The population of this research is students in the eleventh grade of Man 1 Palu. The students were selected randomly. They are 20 students of class XI MIA 1 as the experiment class and XI MIA 4 as a control class. The research analysed the data statistically data collection. The result of data analysis shows that the experimental class (86) is higher than the mean score of the control class (69). The deviation score of experimental class (8.75) is higher than of the control class (5.37). So, the result of t-counted (1.644) which is higher than t-table (0.081). in analyzing the data, the researcher used 0.05 level of significance and the degree of freedom (df=10+10-2) it means that the hypothesis of the research was accepted. The research employed quasi and need pre-test and post-test. The population of this research was all students of the second grade of MAS Nida’ul Khairaat Pombewe. The sample was selected by using quota sampling technique. The samples were 20  students of IPS class as the controlled class and Agama class as the experimental class. The researcher analyzed the data statistically. The mean score of the experimental class was (67.05), it was higher than the mean score of the control class (45). The result of t-counted (2.327) which was higher than the t-table (2.153). The researcher used the 0.05 level of significance and the degree of freedom (df= 10 + 10 – 2). This research has two hypotheses, which were  : there is no improvement of the students’ reading comprehension through the Jigsaw II learning method at the second grade of MAS Nida’ul Khairaat Pombewe and  : there is improvement of the students’ reading comprehension through the Jigsaw II learning method at the second grade of MAS Nida’ul Khairaat Pombewe.Based on the resuls of the data above it proven that  was accepted and  was rejected. The research question is “How is the using of WhatsApp in teaching Pronunciation Practice to the third semester students of Tadris English Study Program in IAIN Palu?” This is a qualitative research by using two instruments of data collections namely questionnaire and interview. The participants consisted of 19 third semester students of Tadris English Study Program of State Institute for Islamic Studies (IAIN) Palu. The researcher conducted five meetings of Pronunciation Practice class to the participants via WhatsApp before distributing the questionnaire and interview sheet. The questionnaire consisted of five questions by applying Likert Scale, while the interview consisted of ten questions. From the questionnaire and interview, the researcher concludes that the using of WhatsApp in teaching Pronunciation Practice to the third semester students of Tadris English Study Program in IAIN Palu is practical. The students could understand the material shared via WhatsApp in the form of documents shared, videos shared, as well as voice recording shared. They could use the features in WhatsApp well such as sharing documents, voice notes, sharing videos, video call and so on in learning pronunciation practice. The students like Pronunciation Practice Class and enjoy studying it via WhatsApp. Learning Pronunciation Practice via WhatsApp has some advantages such as time flexibility as well as structured and easily accessed materials. However, it also has some limitations such as internet data availability and video call limitation. Besides, the participants faced several obstacles in learning Pronunication Practice via WhatsApp, such as the limitation of smartphone memory to save files, down internet server, and unavailability of internet data. Nevertheless, they could passed those obstacles well by deleting some unused files to give more space to the memory and finding out wifi connection to stay connected to WhatsApp when the server was down or they ran out of internet data. They could understand the teaching of Pronunciation Practice via WhatsApp by downloading and reading the documents shared, the videos shared, and the voice recording shared by the lecturer. Its method was quasi-experimental research non-equivalent control group design. Its population was the students of grade VIII at SMP Negeri 1 Palu, in which consists of thirteen parallel classes. The experimental class consists of 29 students and control class consists of 30 students. It was done in eight meetings. The variables of this research were speaking skill and interview. The samples of this research were students of grade VIII C and VIII D, selected through cluster sampling technique. Its results indicate that the application of interview has overcome the students’ problem. After analyzing them, the result of t-counted was 10.01. By applying degree of freedom (df) 57(29+30-2), and the level significant 0.05, the value of t-table was 2.00. So,  the value of t-counted was higher than t-table. It means that the hypothesis of this research was accepted. With speaking the students can practice their knowledge of English and they can get new vocabularies. The objective of the research is to improve speaking skill for the eight grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Pedongga in the academic year of 2019/2020 with the use of role play method. Based on the observation, there were some problems in the teaching and learning of speaking. To solve those problems, the researcher implemented role play as a speaking activity.The research was carried out through action research that consisted of two cycles. Each cycle consisted of two meetings. The results of the research showed that there were some improvements in the students speaking skill. In cycle I, there were some unsuccessful actions. Meanwhile, in cycle II, the implementation of role play techniques was successful in improving the students’ speaking skill. The conclusion of this research were the students low in speaking was caused by lack in vocabulary, self-confident, and they were confused how to pronounced the word. This research was conducted through action research consisting of two cycles. The data were obtained from observation during the implementation of the action; interview with Teacher of English and the eighth grade students from class VIII A; and discussion with Teacher of English. Data in the form of field notes, interview transcripts, and photographs. The validity of the data is obtained by applying utilization Audio Visual Aids, results and processes. The results show that there was an increase in students' speaking skills through the use of audio visual aids. The audio-visual tool used in this study was video and slide. Videos were taken from youtube.com in the form of dialogue in certain expressions. These videos can attract students' attention and increase their learning motivation. Students can have a better understanding of the use of English in real situations when they learn appropriate Englishlanguage models through audio-visual aids (video and slide). Students make improvements in several aspects of speaking skills, such as fluency and comprehensibility. They are more confident in speaking English. They actively participate during the teaching and learning process. In addition, they did not hesitate to ask the teacher when they found difficulties. Students are required to communicate using English. However, in fact there are still some students whose English is still weak and left behind. The purpose of this study was to determine the strategy of the modern Al-istiqamah Ngata Baru Islamic boarding school in applying the speaking skills of the students. \u0000This research is used qualitative research. The research subjects were the head of the language field, the English teacher, the dormitory musyrif, the CLI (Central Language Improvement) board, and the students of the Al-istiqamah Ngata Baru Modern Islamic Boarding School. The technique used in determining the research subject is purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques by interview, observation, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used were data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification. \u0000The results of this study indicate that the application of the strategy in English at Pondok Pesantren Modern Al-istiqamah Ngata Baru has been going well.
