However, the effects of heat generated by continuous use were not studied yet. Therefore in this work, the variation of optical limiting effect of the multi-walled carbon nanotube suspensions, in several kinds of solvents such as distilled water, chloroform, ethanol and ethylene glycol, were measured in the range from the room temperature to the degree to the boiling points of each solvents. The pulsed Nd:YAG laser whose wavelength is 1064 nm and pulse duration is 6 ns was used as a light source. The experimental result shows that the limiting efficiencies of all the suspensions were reduced as the temperature increased, and the suspension with a solvent of lower boiling point, viscosity, and surface tension showed high efficiency.","PeriodicalId":112535,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings. The acceleration enhances with an increase in the concentration of Na/sub 2/S (c), and with an increase in the time of contact between the electrode and solution (/spl Delta/t) before measurements; it decreases after the polarization curve passes through its maximum at E /spl cong/ 0.5 V. Using the procedure of electrode surface renewal by cutting off a thin metal layer, we studied the regularities of gold dissolution in the solution containing 0.1 M thiocarbamide and 0.5 M H/sub 2/SO/sub 4/, for given c and /spl Delta/t values. An explanation of the discovered regularities is proposed, assuming that the dissolution process is catalyzed by sulphide ions adsorbed on the electrode.","PeriodicalId":112535,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings. The ITO films prepared at room temperature (<50/spl deg/C) had the low resistivity of 5/spl times/10/sup -4/ /spl Omega/ cm/sup -1/ and high optical transmittance of 84% in a visible region. According to a result obtained by AFM analysis, rms roughness of the films showed more flat surface morphology (1.0 nm) than that of the bare PC (1.5 nm) substrate. From optical transmission and electrical resistivity measurements, it can be concluded that the optoelectrical properties of ITO films strongly depend on the Cs presence in sputtering atmosphere.","PeriodicalId":112535,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings.
