Il s’agit d’un « espace social » (Dubuisson-Quellier, S., & Plessz, M. (2013). La théorie des pratiques, Sociologie, 4(4)) encore peu questionné aujourd’hui. Dans cet article, nous nous proposons d’interroger le rapport à la nature et à la santé à travers la pratique physique du longe-côte (Corneloup, J. (2011). La forme transmoderne des pratiques récréatives de nature. Développement durable et territoires. Développement durable et territoires, 2(3), 1–15). L’approche sociologique s’appuie sur une démarche d’enquête par entretiens auprès des membres et dirigeants de l’association « Les Foulées nordiques de la Prée » située dans le département de la Charente Maritime. L’analyse thématique des entretiens (Bardin, L. (2013). L’analyse de contenu. Paris : PUF : Tessier, G. (1993). Pratiques de recherche en sciences de l’éducation. Rennes : Presses universitaires de Rennes) conduit à produire une grille d’analyse catégorielle complétée par des observations participantes (Laplantine, F. (2010) [1996]. La description ethnographique. L’enquête et ses méthodes. Paris : Armand Colin). Cette étude permet de saisir les enjeux sanitaires, sociaux et environnementaux de cette pratique émergente de pleine nature pour la population locale.","PeriodicalId":112433,"journal":{"name":"Movement & Sport Sciences","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135495371","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Method The design was a prospective cohort study. Sixty-eight ( n = 68) male senior amateur rugby players completed the FMS™, which assesses seven functional movements on a scale of 0 to 3 and provides a total score of up to 21. Players were subsequently monitored for injuries during one competitive season. Likewise, match and training non-contact injuries with the associated variables were collected. Results: Twenty-two (32.3%) players sustained one non-contact injury during the season. The median time lost was 24.5 days (IQR [15; 383]). Injured players showed a mean FMS™ composite of 14.50(SD 1.74), and non-injured showed a mean FMS™ composite of 14.57(SD 2.25). No statistically significant association was found between the presence of non-contact injuries and FMS™ composite score (OR = 0.98 [0.77; 1.27]) or FMS™ categorical score (≤ 14) (OR = 0.64 [0.23; 1.78]). The presence of an asymmetry between limbs in the active straight leg raise was associated with non-contact injuries (OR: 4.69 [1.35 - 17.9]) ( p = 0.02). Conclusion: FMS™ composite did not show differences between injured and non-injured players. Asymmetry in the active straight leg raise was strongly associated with non-contact injury occurrence.","PeriodicalId":112433,"journal":{"name":"Movement & Sport Sciences","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135506588","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, inadequate physical activity, obesity, and being overweight are the main risk factors that contribute to non-communicable diseases (NCDs). This study aimed to examine the association between physical activity and body mass index (BMI) among public school teachers in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region. Methods: The cross-sectional study design was applied from September 15th, 2021, to April 1st, 2022. Stratified-simple random sampling was employed to select 500 school teachers aged from 18 to 64. The current study used a questionnaire and was composed of two parts: the first part included sociodemographic characteristics and BMI, and the second part consisted of measuring physical activity assessments using the International Physical Activity Questionnaire-Long (IPAQ-L). Results: The majority of teachers (38.6%) were between the ages of 30 and 39, and 64.8% were female. The combined prevalence of overweight and obesity was 71.4%. The vast majority of school teachers (65.8%) had a low level of physical activity, which was significantly linked with gender ( P < 0.001), marital status ( P < 0.001), educational level ( P = 0.008), and monthly income ( P = 0.006). There was a significant relationship between physical activity and body mass index, which was inversely related to body mass index ( P < 0.001). In addition, teachers with a healthy BMI were more physically active than those with a high BMI. Conclusion: The vast majority of teachers failed to meet international recommendations on PA. Moreover, it was shown that there is a significant association between physical activity and body weight. When physical activity increases, BMI will decrease.","PeriodicalId":112433,"journal":{"name":"Movement & Sport Sciences","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135828537","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
