Curcumin were encapsulated into hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin (HP-β-CD) to fabricate inclusion complexes through the kneading way, which were then loaded into these microgels. Drug release profiles obtained were found to have enhanced release for the samples above LCST and governed by a diffusion-controlled mechanism.
