Different application domains have seen substantial recent advancements in this field of study. However, the absence of suitable, sizeable trained datasets still limits HAR in several areas of domains. Many factors impact the availability of suitable HAR data in specific domains. One of those interesting industrial domains is garment sewing. Many world reports were published to illustrate the progress of the worldwide garment sewing industry. To our knowledge, HAR data for the garment sewing industry is limited. Thus, this paper reviews recent works in HAR approaches and proposes a new HAR dataset, called VARSew, specifically designed for recognizing human sewing actions during production time. VARSew consists of 3,121 high-resolution videos of around 49,936 frames. The dataset captures the actions of 34 human Sewing Machine Operators and Maintenance Machine Operators, offering research opportunities for both binary and multi-class classification problems.","PeriodicalId":110239,"journal":{"name":"2023 Intelligent Methods, Systems, and Applications (IMSA)","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130540511","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Quantum computing might be one of these challenges that is the worst. Usually, cybersecurity provides techniques, standards, policies, configurations, and recommendations to protect classical system assets. According to the CIA triad (Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability) fundamentals and the current domain structures used in the classical IT infrastructure systems, vulnerability may occur at any time and place, where several technical and non-technical foundations have been breached aggressively during the past ten years. These breaches are based on classical weaknesses, whether in the offensive or defensive platforms. Quantum computing might be the solution to these problems. However, quantum computing will be a part of the problem, since quantum usage requires a variety of devices, software, applications, and policies. Most of these requirements are still not ready to be approved or even exist. This paper focuses on the logical readings of the near future when quantum computers become available or before. In addition, some advantages and disadvantages are concluded to declare some circumstances that probably face cybersecurity in the upcoming decades.","PeriodicalId":110239,"journal":{"name":"2023 Intelligent Methods, Systems, and Applications (IMSA)","volume":"82 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115052406","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The cost of cybercrime showed up as the third largest economy after the USA and China. Malware is considered one of the biggest threats that the world faces. The rapid evolution in the malware industry should be met with new detection models that are able to understand the malicious process. This paper proposes an approach that identifies malicious processes based on visualising their progressive execution. Moreover, formulating a heuristic function that identifies malicious mimicry processes that can fake antivirus by showing up as benign or normal processes Our proposed model showed a comparative accuracy score compared to other peer approaches.","PeriodicalId":110239,"journal":{"name":"2023 Intelligent Methods, Systems, and Applications (IMSA)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130686507","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Users scan cash banknotes using BuckTracker, which localizes each serial number, detects the currency denomination, and records the location of the scan. BuckTracker presents a novel solution for tracking money transactions, effectively enhancing transparency, accountability, and security in a wide range of financial operations. Users can track their transactions and retrieve the money in case of theft crimes. While the user is counting the money, the BuckTracker system scans each banknote, extracts its serial number, and detects the currency denomination. In this paper, two different object character recognition (OCR) techniques were experimented with in order to maximize the accuracy. The methodology used in this research improved previous work by enhancing the accuracy. The proposed system achieved an average accuracy of 92.3% on different data-sets, compared to a similar work that achieved 91.7% accuracy.","PeriodicalId":110239,"journal":{"name":"2023 Intelligent Methods, Systems, and Applications (IMSA)","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134439463","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These vehicles, which are especially preferred in applications such as 3D mapping, atmospheric measurements, and intelligent transportation systems, are at the heart of many researches due to their easy accessibility and ease of use. Moreover, the importance of these vehicles becomes even more evident in situations and locations where human intervention is not possible. However, their ability to perform these tasks in an ideal way reveals the necessity of a good avionics system. In particular, when it comes to autonomous flight, this becomes even more important. A properly designed avionics system is the first step for a UAV in flight to successfully accomplish its mission. In other words, the performance of the UAV is directly related to the functionality of the avionics. In this study, an avionics system is designed for a small and light-weight UAV, through careful consideration of the systems and components needed for autonomous flight, navigation, and communication. Within the scope of application areas, the system requirements for the UAV have been determined, and a design has been made in accordance with its capacity.","PeriodicalId":110239,"journal":{"name":"2023 Intelligent Methods, Systems, and Applications (IMSA)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114312971","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
