It differs significantly from calls of European males in terms of number of beats and total call duration. As such, it justifies continued consideration of British\u0000 specimens as a subspecies. Despite there being only one specimen examined we thought it was important to note the differences observed and to consider the significance for the status of the British subspecies.","PeriodicalId":108722,"journal":{"name":"Entomologist's Monthly Magazine","volume":"6 4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133994360","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
