This research method uses quantitative descriptive analysis techniques in the analysis process using descriptive statistical techniques, classical assumption test analysis, multiple regression analysis, coefficient of determination test, t test and F test assisted by SPSS 25. The results of the study concluded partially that sales growth has a significant effect on tax avoidance, while return on assets and leverage have no significant effect on tax avoidance. Simultaneous testing shows the results of return on assets, sales growth and leverage have a significant effect on tax avoidance.","PeriodicalId":108012,"journal":{"name":"Gorontalo Accounting Journal","volume":"21 5","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139530036","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The data used is primary data obtained from questionnaires and processed using SmartPLS 4.0. The research results indicate that Machiavellian traits influence accounting fraud and the perception of creative accounting. Accounting fraud also affects the perception of creative accounting. Therefore, it can be said that accounting fraud serves as a mediator in moderating the influence of Machiavellian traits on the perception of creative accounting. The implication of this study is the enhancement of students' ethics by strengthening business ethics education.","PeriodicalId":108012,"journal":{"name":"Gorontalo Accounting Journal","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139319946","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study was conducted in villages and urban districts in the Sidoarjo District, with a sample of 42 respondents, including Village/Urban District Heads, Village/Urban District Secretaries, and Treasurers from each village and urban district. This research is quantitative in nature, and the analysis technique used is Partial Least Square (PLS) with the assistance of WarpPLS 8.0 software. The findings indicate that transparency has a positive impact on local financial management. The sample of this research was manufacturing firms listed in Indonesia Stock Exchanges. The nexus between variables was tested using random effect model. This research demonstrated that the magnitude value of manufacturing firms is positive on average in the accrual earnings, operating cash flow, and earnings persistence. The result of testing the effect points out that accrual earnings and operating cash flow affect the earnings persistence positively. The level of the earnings persistence has been followed by the magnitude of accrual earnings and operating cash flow indicating that the higher the accrual earnings and operating cash flow, the more persistent the earnings gained by manufacturing firms.","PeriodicalId":108012,"journal":{"name":"Gorontalo Accounting Journal","volume":"31 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139320668","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
