The problem is reformulated within the framework of complex Toda chain model which allows one to carry out the simplified description of the optical soliton dynamics. We elucidate how the bit composition of the pattern affects the initial (linear) stage of the train dynamics and explain the general mechanisms of the appearance of unstable collective soliton modes. Then we discuss the nonlinear regime using asymptotic properties of the pulse stream at large propagation distances and analyze the dynamical behavior of the train classifying different scenarios for the pattern instabilities. Both approaches are based on the machinery of Hermitian and non-Hermitian lattice analysis.","PeriodicalId":104769,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Mathematical Methods in Electromagnetic Theory","volume":"64 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-11-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116083161","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

On the basis of the closure equation the bilateral approximations were theoretically justified for the eigen waves of open comb. Regularities for the numbers of accountable space harmonics, using the system of certain order for oscillations in resonators, were found for bilateral approximations to obtain the lowest average error. Bilateral approximations are correct for the comb with the combs of finite thickness. Accuracy of calculation has an order of magnitude higher, than the one with the same order has without bilateral approximations.","PeriodicalId":104769,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Mathematical Methods in Electromagnetic Theory","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-10-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115470182","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Data, used for statistical investigation, are obtained by means of numerical simulation. Electromagnetic problem is solved using method of auxiliary sources for the electrically highly-conducting object placed in magnetically susceptible soil with rough surface. GEM3 sensor is modeled as excitant in the electromagnetic problem. Different models of rough surfaces with axial-symmetry are considered. Surfaces models are constructed based on piecewise defined by polynomials fifth order spline, which interpolates set of equidistant radial points with random heights. The probability density function of low-frequency magnetic response is built a priori based on results related to different cases of surface roughness.","PeriodicalId":104769,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Mathematical Methods in Electromagnetic Theory","volume":"99 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-10-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129737516","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
