On the other hand, the Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imageries are all-weather sensor able to see through cloud but with different sensing properties and normally poorer resolution. In this work, a SAR data-based deep learning recovery approach is proposed and explored to remove cloud and reconstruct realistic ground mapping. The model utilized an autoencoder structure which intakes the SAR image and other optical features to provide a cloud free edge map, later use the edge map, together with the SAR image, as a guide to an inpainting model, which provides a reasonable cloud-free image for both human perception and industrial application. Numerical examples show that the proposed method works well with Sentinel dataset. With the resolution of SAR data improving rapidly through recent years, using SAR imageries to enhance data from other sources could be a more promising topic for research as well as practical applications.","PeriodicalId":104561,"journal":{"name":"2021 7th Asia-Pacific Conference on Synthetic Aperture Radar (APSAR)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126162339","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The city of Semarang, the capital of Central Java province, is located on the northern coast of Java island in Indonesia. Land subsidence in this city has enormous potentials for many hazards threatening people and urban infrastructures, such as buildings, roads, or whatever necessary for livelihoods. To accurately measure the land subsidence in Semarang, time series analysis of Small Baseline Subset (SBAS) or Permanent/Persistent Scatterers (PS) and Distributed Scatterers (DS) InSAR analysis is essential. This study shows the recent land subsidence volume in Semarang city with the SBAS technique and compares it to historical InSAR analysis. We also conducted the 2.5-dimensional analysis to convert the satellite line-of-site (LOS) displacement into the horizontal and vertical direction to see if there are differences between ascending and descending data. The SBAS analysis result showed the displacement volume in a range of - 18.2cm subsided and +6.8cm uplifted. The displacement rate was estimated to be substantially constant over time without any apparent seasonal effect. There is no significant difference in the results between ascending and descending datasets. The 2.5-dimensional analysis identified the horizontal and vertical displacements that we corrected any noise and inclined directional values using incidence angle.","PeriodicalId":104561,"journal":{"name":"2021 7th Asia-Pacific Conference on Synthetic Aperture Radar (APSAR)","volume":"97 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116040952","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In addition, the current clutter superimposed by ambiguous clutter components located in different regions will deteriorate the clutter stability, further worsening the multi-channel clutter cancellation performance since the independent identically distributed (IID) property of the clutter training samples has been destroyed. To deal with this issue, the range ambiguity clutter suppression in an AEW radar is considered in this paper. In the proposed algorithm, the multi-channel radar echo signal model with respect to the range-ambiguous clutter is established, and the ambiguous clutter influence is analyzed. Then, the azimuth phase coding (APC) technique is applied to separate the range-ambiguous clutter components in the Doppler domain, which codes every transmitted radar pulse via the appropriate waveform designment. The simulation processing results has been provided to confirm the effectiveness and feasible of the range-ambiguous clutter separation ability.","PeriodicalId":104561,"journal":{"name":"2021 7th Asia-Pacific Conference on Synthetic Aperture Radar (APSAR)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128695625","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed antenna operates in X-band at the center frequency of 9.5 GHz with a bandwidth of 400 MHz. The subarray antenna employs 16 patches with 4×4 matrix formation and uniform patch separation of 0.7λs. The hybrid sequential rotation technique on the feeding network is proposed to obtain a wide axial-ratio bandwidth and a balanced radiation pattern. The proposed antenna consists of two stacked substrates with identical specifications. Generation of circular polarization wave applies a curved-truncation patch on the radiator patch printed on the top layer bottom substrate. Broadening impedance bandwidth and gain enhancement are improved by an additional parasitic patch with circle-slotted printed on the upper layer. A floating copper on the upper layer is also attempted to improve the gain. Simulation results achieve the impedance bandwidth of 3.533 GHz (37.2%), axial-ratio bandwidth of 3.436 GHz (36.17%), the gain of 19.16 dBic, and the antenna size of 107 mm x 107 mm. However, reservoir computing-based approach was also proposed for aspect classification because CNNs have serious problems of resolution degradation and large computational cost. In this paper, we conduct an experiment of aspect classification by using complex-valued reservoir computing (CVRC) and complex-valued CNNs (CVCNNs). We also discuss the tradeoff between the spatial resolution of the CVRC results and noise robustness. In addition, we compare these approaches in terms of segmented image resolution and computational cost. Experimental results show that CVRC realizes one-hundredth learning time as well as one-fifth classification time, compared with CVCNNs, with the same resolution as that of original interferogram.","PeriodicalId":104561,"journal":{"name":"2021 7th Asia-Pacific Conference on Synthetic Aperture Radar (APSAR)","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115934186","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, the PSI analysis was conducted for six large-scale rockfill dams of TEPCO Renewable Power using the SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) data from Sentinel-1 C-band, with 22 to 32 scenes of southbound and northbound trajectories in FY2020, respectively. The external displacement of the rockfill dams was measured using the SAR data.
