Perbedaan kondisi lingkungan seperti tingginya kekuatan ionik pada air laut, intensitas cahaya yang kecil, rendahnya temperatur, tekanan, dan struktur tubuh yang berbeda dengan organisme darat memungkinkan organisme laut menghasilkan metabolit yang mempunyai struktur kimia yang spesifik dan bervariasi yang sangat berpengaruh terhadap bioaktivitasnya. Organisme laut khususnya avertebrata laut yang mempunyai struktur pergerakan fisik lebih terbatas dibanding dengan vertebrata laut dan mengembangkan sistem pertahanan diri dengan memproduksi senyawa kimia (chemical defense). Beberapa metabolit sekunder yang diproduksi oleh avertebrata laut mempunyai prospek sebagai zat aktif dalam obat dari berbagai penyakit jantung, immunologi, antiinflammatory, antivirus, dan antikanker. This is due to the characteristics of the stingrays and the smell of ammonia which causes not many people to use them, even one of the less desirable fish catches. One of the proper processing of stingrays is by processing them into smoked fish, especially in Tarakan City. The purpose of this study was to analyze the feasibility of smoking fish business in the Middle Tarakan Village, Tarakan City. Data collection was carried out in April-May 2023. Primary data was obtained through observation and interviews with smoked fish entrepreneurs. The results of the study showed that the smoked fish business was carried out in his own smoking house, which was separate from the residential house. The type of fish that is smoked is stingray. The capacity of the smoking tool is 30 kg with the smoking media in the form of coconut shells. The total cost for one production cycle (3 hours) is Rp. 40,000/production; receipt of Rp. 196 million/year and a profit of Rp. 114 million/year. R/C and B/C values were 2.46 and 1.46, PP for 4 days. The results of the smoked fish business are profitable and worth continuing. It is feared that the existence of flowerhorn fish in local waters will become the dominant predator. Based on this study, it is reported that catches of flowerhorn fish in the Sempor Reservoir, Kebumen Regency, Central Java have the potential to become invasive predatory fish. The research method uses the desk study method and field observations by informants. The flowerhorn fish caught in the Sempor Reservoir is a record for efforts to protect the natural ecosystem of the reservoir from invasion by foreign predatory fish. Pindang cakalang is a processed product that is very popular DKI Jakarta villager with a high level of consumption. Skipjack tuna is one of family of scrombroidae which has red meat, skipjack tuna damaged by bacteria or enzymes that can produce toxins called scrombotoxins. The toxic compound is histamine. The danger of histamine in skipjack tuna is included in the category of food safety hazards because it can provide toxic effects on the body, the investigation and assessment of the risks becomes very important. The purpose of this study is the risk in the skipjack tuna screening process in the DKI Jakarta area to control the danger of histamine. This study uses secondary and semi-quantitative data publications using risk ranger. The results of the risk analysis show a histamine hazard risk rating of 62. This indicates the hazard risk posed to the people of DKI Jakarta is included in the high category. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh padat tebar yang berbeda terhadap pertumbuhan kopepoda Acartia sp (Calanoida) pada kultur semi massal. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Balai Besar Riset Budidaya Laut Dan Penyuluhan Perikanan (BBRBLPP) Gondol, Provinsi Bali selama bulan Maret – April 2021. Rancangan percobaan yang di gunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan perlakuan A= 10 ekor/liter, B= 20 ekor/liter dan C= 30 ekor/liter dan di ulang 3 kali. Parameter yang diamati adalah Laju Pertumbuhan, Tingkat Kelangsungan Hidup dan Kulitas Air. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa laju padat tebar tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan 20 ekor/liter sebesar 0,06 mg/ekor. Sementara tingkat kelangsungan hidup mencapai 100%. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Pempek Lala, Chaplin, Sultan, Flamboyan, Beringin, dan Terkenal di Palembang, Sumatera Selatan. Pemilihan lokasi penelitian dilakukan secara sengaja (purposive) mengingat semakin banyak objek dengan variabel harga yang berbeda diharapkan jangkauan responden semakin merata. Penelitian dilakukan secara luas pada bulan Mei hingga Juni 2017. Metode survei yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berkaitan dengan situasi yang memerlukan teknik pengumpulan data tertentu seperti wawancara, kuesioner atau observasi dengan harapan memperoleh gambaran nyata di lapangan. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda. Kematian ikan diawali dengan stres pada ikan sebagai respon fisiologisnya, energi yang dibutuhkan untuk beradaptasi melawan stres merangsang mobilisasi glukosa ke dalam darah. Salah satu sumber stres bagi ikan pada budidaya adalah kualitas air pemeliharaan. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat stres pada benih patin siam terhadap kualitas air pada pemeliharaan sistem resirkulasi melalui pengukuran kadar glukosa darah. Penelitian menggunakan benih uji patin siam dengan bobot awal 62,74±25,17 mg yang dipelihara selama 21 hari menggunakan beberapa sistem resirkulasi dengan jenis filter berbeda (faktor A) pada dua kepadatan tebar yang berbeda (faktor B). Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan peningkatan kadar glukosa darah benih patin siam pada akhir pemeliharaan dipengaruhi oleh faktor A (P(0,003)<0,05). Faktor B dan faktor interaksi keduanya (faktor A*B; jenis filter*padat tebar) tidak mempengaruhi peningkatan kadar glukosa darah. Parameter pertumbuhan bobot tidak dipengaruhi oleh faktor A, faktor B, dan faktor A*B. Tingginya permintaan dari tahun ke tahun perlu diimbangi dengan jumlah produksi perikanan. Akan tetapi untuk memenuhi produksi dan permintaan tersebut masih memiliki kendala dari banyaknya serangan penyakit pada industri budidaya ikan. Alternatif solusi yang terus diteliti beberapa tahun ini untuk menanggulangi penyakit pada ikan adalah dengan pengunaan imunostimulan dari bahan-bahan alami. Penggunaan bahan-bahan alami untuk imunostimulan dapat meningkatkan imun non-spesifik ikan untuk menangkal serangan penyakit dan ramah ligkungan. Pemberian imunostimulan dapat dilakukan secara oral melalui pencampuran dengan pakan ikan. Imunostimulan dari bahan alam seperti bawang putih (Aleium sativum), Jamur (Glucan, Gonoderma lucidum, Lonicera Japonica, Viscum album (mistletoe), Urtica dioica (Jelantang), Jahe (Zingiber offinale) mampu meningkatkan sistem imun non-spesifik pada ikan Raibow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss), Ikan lele dumbo (Clarias gariepinus), Ikan mas (Cyprinus carpio), Kerapu Bebek (Ephinephelus fuscogattus), dan Patin (Pangasius sp.). Imunostimulan tersebut meningkatkan imun non-spesifik seperti total haemocyte count, aktivitas fagositosis, fenoloksidase, fagositik, respitory burst, superoksida dismutase, total protein plasma.
