It based on buck-boost type PFC circuit and auxiliary capacitor-diode-based voltage divider circuit. The capacitors of the auxiliary circuit charge in series through the boost inductor and discharge in parallel through the load. Hence, the proposed convertor has features of high step-down ratio, low voltage-rated bus capacitors, and a wide range of output voltage control. The proposed LED driver was designed for a 60W industrial lighting application, and its operation and performance were evaluated through computer simulations. The obtained results are presented in the paper. The results reveal that the driver has the ability of power factor correction over a wide range of duty cycles. Moreover, the proposed LED driver also have ability to step down the input voltage up to desired voltage output level.","PeriodicalId":102289,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Conference on Energy, Power, Environment, Control, and Computing (ICEPECC)","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123406286","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Oil and fuel pipeline networks have proven to be the most secure and competitively priced way of transporting petroleum products while meeting increased demand for efficiency and durability. As a consequence of the negative impact of unreliable pipeline systems on society, the demand for a credible pipeline system is increasing by the day. Failure in pipeline systems can result in pollution and explosions, which pose a threat to people, property, and the ecology. Hence, this paper presents an overview of a smart pipeline monitoring system. The review encompasses the various methods of monitoring pipeline systems, ranging from traditional systems to IoT-based systems. From the papers reviewed, it was seen that there exist numerous methods to carry out pipeline monitoring. These approaches and methods produced different degree of accuracy and efficiency when applied in monitoring pipelines, and also depends on the content or material the pipeline carries. The review identifies key features of pipeline monitoring systems to include: real-time capability, predictive capability, scalability and accuracy. This paper reveals the possibility to adopt technology-based monitoring system as opposed to traditional methods.","PeriodicalId":102289,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Conference on Energy, Power, Environment, Control, and Computing (ICEPECC)","volume":"155 11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133650699","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The openness of data on the edge raised many issues about the security of data. Although edge computing is an extension of the cloud, besides this, its solutions to handle security threats are different from cloud computing because of its architectural dissimilarities. There is a need for a comprehensive mechanism to ensure the choice of secure service. For this purpose, the combination of trust would be a better approach to deal with the service selection tasks in edge computing. In this paper, a trust-aware cloudlet federation model has been proposed which ultimately helps in the safe service selection of an edge node. Before using a service ‘A’ of any edge node, the trust value of the edge node for service ‘A’ should be calculated, called Service Trust Value (STV). Then the edge nodes with a higher STV for service ‘A’ are filtered. Lastly, the model will select the edge node with a satisfactory value of trust for service ‘A’. This proposed model will be beneficial in secure service selection.","PeriodicalId":102289,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Conference on Energy, Power, Environment, Control, and Computing (ICEPECC)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132752548","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Computer technology has had a significant impact on human life. The relationship between humans and computers, known as Human-Computer Interactions (HCI), can be done non-contact or virtual; one example is Hand Gesture Recognition. However, the development of hand gesture recognition has several challenges, especially in increasing the performance of its glory. Several methods are used to improve the performance of hand gesture recognition, such as the convolutional neural network, which still needs improvement. In this paper, we conducted a number recognition system-based virtual sketch with a hand gesture using an Attentional Convolutional Network with an accuracy value obtained in the non-real-time of 83.9% and real-time accuracy is 90%.","PeriodicalId":102289,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Conference on Energy, Power, Environment, Control, and Computing (ICEPECC)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127266245","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With the lack of effective biomarkers and absence of symptoms, it is an urgent need to develop a noninvasive, rapid, and highly accurate technique for GC screening at early-stage detection, prognostics, and diagnostics. Breath shows a promising multi-constituent oral fluid with a noninvasive source. The proposed solution is based on the unsupervised learning model that is capable to classify the cancer patient in different categories based on the spread of the disease. The proposed model can distinguish the level of disease as healthy person, moderate spread and acute spread. We have three hundred saliva samples of volunteers which comprise 102 EGC, 156 AGC, and 110 Healthy persons. This study has shown pivotal information in distinguishing EGC, AGC from healthy persons, which have a great clinical translational prospect. The developed Artificial Neural Network (ANN) based predictive model has produced an accuracy of 81.4%, 68.6% and 92.5 % for AGC, EGC and Healthy persons.","PeriodicalId":102289,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Conference on Energy, Power, Environment, Control, and Computing (ICEPECC)","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123578909","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Reactive power limits play an increasingly important role in these systems, and compensators are essential in regulating the addition or absorption of reactive power to counteract voltage instability. When the system experiences an increase in demand or equipment failure, compensators provide reactive power in under-voltage conditions and absorb it in over-voltage conditions. This study focuses on the modeling and sizing of Static VAR Compensators (SVCs), which are shunt-connected Flexible Alternating Current Transmission Systems (FACTs) devices. SVCs adjust the reactive components of current to maintain or regulate power, ensuring the stability of the system. To determine the required amount of reactive power, the study employs PV and QV analysis along with load-flow analysis using the PSAT toolbox in MATLAB. These analyses are crucial in determining the required amount of reactive power, and the PSAT toolbox provides a comprehensive solution for these tasks. The results of this study highlight the importance of proper modeling and sizing of SVCs in maintaining system stability and avoiding voltage collapses.","PeriodicalId":102289,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Conference on Energy, Power, Environment, Control, and Computing (ICEPECC)","volume":"87 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124312827","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The households with RES become prosumers to provide the surplus energy in the local community. The coordination and control of such RES prosumers are important to estimate the available energy in the system and the total demand required. In this paper, we proposed a decentralized coordination control approach for transactive energy systems (TES). The proposed TES is capable of coordinating and controlling a complex network of prosumers with limited control information. The consensusability and graph-theoretic schemes are used for prosumer RES nodes. In the proposed model, energy trading among large-scale prosumers has been demonstrated. The algorithm is capable to provide the total surplus energy available across the network and total demand in an autonomous fashion. The coordination control among prosumers is achieved through a computationally efficient approach without sharing the prosumer’s profile to preserve the security and privacy of the prosumers. To validate the proposed scheme, we perform extensive simulations on decentralized 450 prosumers. The resiliency of the proposed scheme is confirmed through dynamic and contingent communication topologies for energy trading ratios, cumulative returns, and convergence ratios. The cumulative returns improved from 0.447% to 24.8% while the energy trade among the prosumers recorded from -0.89 to 2.09. The final return is enhanced from −1.95% to 22.3% due to internal and external coordination control of nonlinear loads.","PeriodicalId":102289,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Conference on Energy, Power, Environment, Control, and Computing (ICEPECC)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115424185","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The bottom-up and top-down visual saliency detection models can be combined to develop hybrid visual attention for the interaction of the robot with humans. Most of the hybrid visual saliency models are not computationally economical for practical implementation on humanoid robots due to the high computation cost and complexity of their model. The main drawback of most of the visual attention models is that they can detect the salient object in the case of simple background in natural images, but cannot perform well in the case of images having cluttered and textured backgrounds. Most global contrast-based methods do not produce efficient results for images having multiple salient objects. The hybrid models based on local and global contrast-based methods have an issue that most background regions are predicted as salient regions. In this research paper, a hybrid stereo saliency model based on PC/BC-DIM neural network is presented which can efficiently detect salient objects for the simple, cluttered, and textured background images. The proposed model has added advantages of its simplicity, robustness, and execution on a CPU system due to which it is perfectly suited for realization on humanoid robots. The proposed saliency detection model can detect multiple salient objects. The mean absolute error (MAE) score for the hybrid saliency model is 0.22 and for the stereo saliency model, the MAE score is 0.375. The proposed model is computationally efficient and cost effective models for implementation on humanoid robots.","PeriodicalId":102289,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Conference on Energy, Power, Environment, Control, and Computing (ICEPECC)","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122323625","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
