Existing methods to reduce such noise often degrade image quality due to an improper choice of filters. We present a high quality, low-cost noise reduction filter for enhancing low light level images. The proposed algorithm is simple, effective and computationally fast; it is suitable for low cost camcorders, digital cameras, CCTVs, and surveillance video systems.","PeriodicalId":101716,"journal":{"name":"2005 Digest of Technical Papers. This work describes a novel complexity aware motion estimation for H.264 based on pixel representation of different bit-depth and a simple scene change detection module. Depending on the power of grasping a mouse, two kinds of face marks ((/sup /spl and// /sup /spl and//), (> <)) are inputted to the chat window. We applied this prototype to a kind of electronic conferencing system, named a remote seminar support system. From the results of experiments, we find that the system is effective for transmitting tension to participants. We think this approach can be applied to various types of communication, for example, interactive TV with the excitement level of the audience.","PeriodicalId":101716,"journal":{"name":"2005 Digest of Technical Papers.
