Banjarsengon Village is the farthest village from the Patrang District office + 7 km with an area of about 14 km2. Until 2020, there are only a few food and beverage industries located in Patrang District, namely the shredded and milk industry in Gebang, and the tempeh industry in Baratan. However, there is no food and beverage industry in Banjar Sengon yet. This is very interesting because Banjar Sengon is a village that has the potential of human and natural resources. The tempeh industry is also not found, even though tempeh is widely consumed by the people in Banjar Sengon. Tempeh prices are getting more expensive in early 2022 due to high soybean prices. Due to the current difficulty in supplying expensive soybeans, several tofu and tempeh producers have begun to reduce production or stop production. This limitation of soybeans causes big problems for people who are usually consuming tofu and tempeh. Therefore, alternative types of koro beans must be provided to replace non-soybean raw materials. In this community service activity, the team has introduced koro beans as the raw material for making tempeh with a slight modification in the fermentation process. The results show that tempeh from koro gave high scores on performance, arome, taste, and texture, although the scores are still lower than soybean tempeh","PeriodicalId":101477,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Hasil Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Universitas Jember","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127391119","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Household consumption, as the central pillar of the economy, decelerated significantly and affected the performance of the industry and small businesses—a group of food stall merchants located on Jl. Java around the University of Jember undergoes the same situation. The decline in people's purchasing power, the implementation of health protocols, online learning, and the reduction in people's income have significantly impacted food sales and changed consumption patterns. Fish farming using the Budikdamber system, which combines fish farming and hydroponic water spinach, can be a solution to support the economy during the Covid-19 pandemic. The Budikdamber (fish cultivation in a bucket) cultivates fish and vegetables in one bucket. This community service using a fish and vegetable cultivation integrated system can improve the community's economy and maintain food security during a pandemic. The community service method is coaching and training with the aim that the sustainability of the Budikdamber System can be achieved and improve the community's economy. The service activities carried out were responded well by the community, as seen from their enthusiasm and active role in making Budikdamber planting media and containers.","PeriodicalId":101477,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Hasil Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Universitas Jember","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132841475","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This workshop is engaged in the business of making house fences, making canopies, and manufacturing and repairing simple tools. Currently orders at the Bahari Jaya Teknik technical workshop tend to increase from year to year. Many of them are orders in profiling that require a rolling process. The main problem for the Bahari Jaya Teknik engineering workshop is the unavailability of the plate rolling tool so that a plate rolling tool is needed. The purpose of this community service is the fulfillment of plate rolling machine equipment for this engineering workshop to help carry out the plate roll manufacturing process. This makes the work in this engineering workshop more effective and efficient. To help solve problems at the Marine Jaya Teknik Workshop, the Community Partnership Program (PKM) in Wirolegi Village, Sumbersari District, Jember Regency designs and manufactures plate rolling equipment. In the Community Partnership Program (PKM), in solving problems that exist with partners, a literature study has been carried out to create a roll machine model with technical drawings. The basics of selecting the design of the machine element are selected based on the theory of the design of the machine element. This tool is very helpful for the workshop that uses it.","PeriodicalId":101477,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Hasil Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Universitas Jember","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123841267","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the existence of these farm animals, in addition to having a positive impact, also causes negative impacts. The negative impact caused is the accumulation of manure. This leads to the onset of unpleasant aromas and health problems. To overcome this, devotion is carried out through assistance in the use of livestock manure using EM4. This assistance aims to provide education so that the partner community can know how to use manure that accumulates independently. In this service, it is carried out by conducting a direct demonstration of fertilizer making using EM4 and manure. In addition, a sharing session was also held with representatives of target partners. With this, it causes an increase in knowledge so that other partner communities can apply it.","PeriodicalId":101477,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Hasil Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Universitas Jember","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131611973","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Plant propagation is important in meeting the seed needs of rural communities. The role of universities as institutions of higher education and research development must be able to be the first hand in overcoming all aspects of society. The Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jember, has developed many macropropagation techniques for various crops, including food, horticulture, ornamentals and plantations. Various research and scientific development results have not been fully applied to the community. The problem of banana cultivation in Patrang Village is still using the traditional way. The use of conventional seeds is often not standardized for good quality, which will have a major impact on the declining yield of horticultural crops. The purpose of this program is to provide knowledge to the people of Patrang Village in the form of explanations of banana plant macropropagation techniques through workshops, training, and direct assistance. Provision of seeds is important in plant cultivation and must have good quality. Macropropagation technique is one way to get quality seeds that have superior properties, free of disease, and high viability. Macropropagation technique is able to produce more quantity of vegetative seeds, able to maintain the same character as the parent and the waiting time to bear fruit is faster. The intensification of macropropagation of banana plants is expected to increase community empowerment and self-help of banana seedlings in Patrang Village, Patrang District, Jember Regency.","PeriodicalId":101477,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Hasil Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Universitas Jember","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124562507","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
