A simple example is constructed to clarify this point. Goldhammer","doi":"10.1016/0031-9163(66)91001-8","DOIUrl":"10.1016/0031-9163(66)91001-8","url":null,"abstract":"<div><p>The <em>T</em> = 0, <em>J</em> = 1, 2 and 3 positive parity levels of a six nucleon system are calculated using single-particle orbitals derived from a deformed oscillator potential. Proper eigenfunctions of J<sup>2</sup> are projected through Hill-Wheeler integrals. Simplified forces are used so that the entire deformation is due to the tensor force. It is found that, to a very good approximation, all three levels may be generated from a single intrinsic function with constant size and deformation parameters.
