Nesterova","doi":"10.1016/S0368-3273(15)30042-0","DOIUrl":"10.1016/S0368-3273(15)30042-0","url":null,"abstract":"<div><p>A study has been made of the rate at which the corrosion products of 1Kh18N9T steel are flushed out by the water coolant in the First Nuclear Power Station. It was established that the rate depends on the power level and on the rate at which water is added to the first loop. Radiation from the reactor causes oxidation of dissolved nitrogen to nitric acid. The nature of the corrosion products has been studied by ion exchange, electrodialysis, ultrafiltration, spectroscopic and chemical analysis, and radiation measurement. It has been shown that all corrosion products of 1Kh18N9T steel, with the exception of iron, are present as ions.</p></div>","PeriodicalId":100814,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Nuclear Energy. The dependence of this growth on temperature, the pressure of the gas, the diameter of the rods and also on the presence of previously formed oxide layers was determined. Growth of copper wire specimens was also found to occur.
