By exploiting novel proportional-derivative (PD) control strategy and utilizing inequality skills, a novel FXTP criteria for CSNMSCs is obtained. Similarly, several sufficient criteria are also obtained to guarantee FXTP of CSNMDCs by designing novel PD control protocol and proper Lyapunov function. Unlike the previous methods in most exiting studies, the FXTP criteria are achieved by using PD control approach, resulting in faster convergence and broader applications. Finally, two simulation experiments are designed to verify our theorems.","PeriodicalId":100640,"journal":{"name":"IEEE Transactions on Industrial Cyber-Physical Systems","volume":"4 ","pages":"306-313"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2026-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"147937517","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Conventional feedback-based wireless reliability mechanisms, such as HARQ, introduce random completion times that complicate worst-case analysis and certification in time-sensitive industrial networks. This paper presents a deadline-driven coded reliability framework that enables a 5G/6G wireless hop to provide deterministic decode-by service with a bounded latency contract. In each control cycle, the payload is encoded into a fixed number of transmissions scheduled within a reserved window ending at a strict deadline. To provision the minimum radio-time reservation for a target violation probability, we formulate an exact dynamic program under a Gilbert–Elliott loss model that maps channel-state evolution to cycle-level failures. Based on this analysis, the proposed Minimal-Overhead Deterministic Scheduler (MODS) computes the smallest transmission budget satisfying the latency–reliability contract. Trace-driven evaluation using industrial 5G/6G measurements shows that the framework achieves a violation probability below (<inline-formula><tex-math>$10^{-9}$</tex-math></inline-formula>) while reducing deterministic airtime by up to 45% compared with replication-based baselines. Results further show that decode-by performance is dominated by burst-correlated losses rather than average error rates, requiring provisioning against the burst-loss envelope. The transmission budget exposes an explicit latency–reliability trade-off, enabling predictable resource allocation and scalable admission of time-sensitive flows in deterministic industrial networks.","PeriodicalId":100640,"journal":{"name":"IEEE Transactions on Industrial Cyber-Physical Systems","volume":"4 ","pages":"514-524"},"PeriodicalIF":7.4,"publicationDate":"2026-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"148480606","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper addresses a critical cyber-physical optimization challenge: the distributed constrained optimization problem for DER systems, where each DER unit has local convex constraints (e.g., generation limits) and all units must satisfy a global coupled constraint (e.g., power balance). To achieve predefined-time convergence, first, a projection operator is introduced to ensure the local convex set based on the nonhomogeneous signum function. Second, the coupled linear constraint is resolved using the integral sliding mode technique. Third, the optimality of the solution is guaranteed in view of the gradient flow and the consensus scheme. Then, based on the predefined-time stability theorem, our developed method achieves the global optimal solution within the predefined time. Compared to existing finite-time and fixed-time methods, our approach requires fewer tuning parameters and does not rely on initial constraint satisfaction. Lastly, the proposed method is applied to the distributed energy resource system, an important application in ICPSs, to illustrate its effectiveness.","PeriodicalId":100640,"journal":{"name":"IEEE Transactions on Industrial Cyber-Physical Systems","volume":"4 ","pages":"633-643"},"PeriodicalIF":7.4,"publicationDate":"2026-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"148612952","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, most studies neglect input delays and assume the initial spacing errors (ISEs) are zero, which may hinder deep application in more practical scenarios. To bridge this gap, this paper develops a distributed control framework incorporating a novel Improved Quadratic Spacing Policy (IQSP). First, by introducing a sophisticated coordinate transformation, the proposed IQSP effectively eliminates the dependency on zero ISEs and ensures a superior convergence rate compared to traditional methods. Second, to address actuator latencies, an integral compensation mechanism is integrated into the back-stepping design, while a differential tracker (DT) is employed to suppress the differential explosion phenomenon and reduce computational complexity. Third, a hybridized neural network disturbance observer is constructed to handle unknown nonlinear dynamics and lumped disturbances, thereby resolving the controller singularity issue. Rigorous theoretical analysis guarantees individual vehicle stability, string stability, and global traffic flow stability. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed strategy significantly improves traffic throughput and exhibits robust performance in the presence of significant input delays.","PeriodicalId":100640,"journal":{"name":"IEEE Transactions on Industrial Cyber-Physical Systems","volume":"4 ","pages":"687-697"},"PeriodicalIF":7.4,"publicationDate":"2026-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"148613047","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

When the system is uncryptic, transmission data are easily intercepted and compromised by attackers, further endangering system stability. The existing computational security in the computer field only ensures that attackers cannot recover the plaintext from the ciphertext and key in polynomial time. However, in control systems, due to system vulnerability, the attacker can directly utilize the ciphertext data to launch stealthy attacks rather than decrypting. To meet the security requirement for state estimation, this paper formulates a new crypticity-enhancing framework. A hybrid encryption strategy with low computational complexity is proposed. Specifically, symmetric encryption algorithms encrypt transmitted innovations of state estimation, while asymmetric encryption algorithms encrypt keys of symmetric encryption. A sufficient condition for partial crypticity and a necessary and sufficient condition for complete crypticity of the hybrid encryption algorithm are derived. A simulation example is presented to sustain the theoretical results.","PeriodicalId":100640,"journal":{"name":"IEEE Transactions on Industrial Cyber-Physical Systems","volume":"4 ","pages":"575-583"},"PeriodicalIF":7.4,"publicationDate":"2026-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"148613051","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The developed DT framework integrates sensing, modeling, and learning within a unified cyber-physical environment for accurate system state representation and effective control. The proposed framework employs a hybrid ConvFormer-LSTM architecture, which integrates convolutional feature extraction, Transformer-based attention mechanism, and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) to jointly capture local transients and long-range temporal dependencies in multivariate time-series signals. The framework enables accurate estimation of voltage and current stresses, as well as non-invasive parameter identification of critical components, using predicted voltage and current signals. Validation on a 2-stage, 3-phase grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) energy conversion system demonstrates that the proposed method achieves a coefficient of determination (R<sup>2</sup>) of 0.9573 under hybrid dynamic conditions, with low MAPE values such as 1.78. Prior work primarily focuses on achieving a tighter upper bound of the End-to-End (E2E) delay using network calculus, given the CBS configuration of flows. However, it is important to adjust the CBS configuration at each hop to meet the deadlines for various data flows. To this end, we address the CBS scheduling problem to enhance the satisfiability of E2E delay requirements. First, we formulate a linear constraint model and propose a Double Deep Q-Network (DDQN) reinforcement learning method, called <inline-formula><tex-math>$ mathtt{CBS-DDQN} $</tex-math></inline-formula>, to solve the model. Second, to improve model training and scheduling, we present a fast method using equivalence reduction to calculate the E2E upper bounds of data flows for the evaluation of E2E delay satisfiability. Finally, we conduct an extensive evaluation of <inline-formula><tex-math>$ mathtt{CBS-DDQN}$</tex-math></inline-formula>, demonstrating its ability to efficiently schedule thousands of flows and increase the number of flows meeting the delay requirements by 18–26% over prior methods.","PeriodicalId":100640,"journal":{"name":"IEEE Transactions on Industrial Cyber-Physical Systems","volume":"4 ","pages":"368-379"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2026-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"148236233","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Existing research suffers from insufficient adaptability to dynamic damage, idealized communication models that neglect backhaul link reliability, and computational inefficiencies hindering rapid response. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a Hybrid RL-Heuristic Bilevel Framework (HRHBF) for cyber-physical coordinated recovery (CPCR). A key innovation is the explicit modeling of a uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV)-assisted SAGIN backhaul link with continuous coverage constraints to ensure end-to-end communication reliability. The bilevel structure employs Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) to adaptively learn UAV positioning while an inner layer solves for load restoration, enabling fast, joint optimization. Furthermore, an LSTM-based policy network enhances generalization across unknown disaster scenarios. Experiments on IEEE 33-bus and 118-bus systems demonstrate that HRHBF achieves a 100% communication success rate, significantly outperforms benchmarks in load recovery and QoS, and makes decisions in seconds. These results validate the framework’s effectiveness in providing a reliable, efficient, and rapid solution to enhance post-disaster power system resilience.","PeriodicalId":100640,"journal":{"name":"IEEE Transactions on Industrial Cyber-Physical Systems","volume":"4 ","pages":"417-428"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2026-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"148236355","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To address this challenge, a collaborative optimization strategy for electricity, carbon, and hydrogen agents is proposed based on the evolutionary game to solve the bounded-rationality decision-making problems of multi-stakeholders within cyber-physical systems. Then, to break through the limitation of existing evolutionary game models that can only evolve with a single criterion, a novel multi-criteria repetitive evolutionary game model is developed, which can also reconcile the contradiction between the continuity need of system optimization and finite discrete strategy sets of the evolutionary game. Moreover, a multi-price-based demand response (DR) and an adaptive optimal load elasticity calculation method driven by benefits are proposed to further enhance the revenue of users when interacting with higher-level operators. The temporal and spatial dependencies in the data are modeled using a mixture of time-invariant Gaussian graphical models, with each state characterized by a unique block Toeplitz inverse covariance matrix. This modeling approach captures short-term spatio-temporal stationarity, enabling consistent modeling across sliding windows. An Expectation-Maximization (EM) based approach jointly estimates cluster assignments and structural parameters. Prediction uncertainty is quantified by integrating conformal prediction using negative log-likelihoods non-conformity scores. By leveraging the partial exchangeability of subsequences ensured through the Toeplitz structure, we provide valid distribution-free prediction sets with coverage guarantees. Evaluations on a cyber physical power systems data under normal, fault, and cyber-attack conditions demonstrate 98% empirical coverage and 15% higher calibration accuracy over existing uncertainty-aware methods.
