The patient was treated during the acute phase of SAH via balloon-assisted coil embolization. The patient recovered without any neurologic sequalae. There is a dearth of literature describing the use of an endovascular approach for the treatment of ruptured intracranial infundibula or infundibular aneurysms. We propose the use of balloon assisted coil embolization as a viable therapeutic option for the treatment of ruptured intracranial infundibular aneurysms and present a detailed review of the literature.</p>","PeriodicalId":93712,"journal":{"name":"MedPress surgery","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"40403665","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
