Here, we discuss that cancer subclones derived from the patient's head and neck squamous cell carcinoma tumor stem cells can be used for the screening of personalized antitumor immunotherapy and chemotherapy, to maximize benefits and to minimize the adversary effects, toward personalized or precision medicine. We propose a \"wait-and-watch\" scheme for monitoring a lifetime cancer stem cell subclonal development evolved with local environments to cancer.</p>","PeriodicalId":92726,"journal":{"name":"Stem cell research & therapeutics","volume":"3 1","pages":"116-121"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://ftp.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pub/pmc/oa_pdf/97/32/nihms-1006992.PMC6453126.pdf","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"37140680","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
