However, these algorithms are highly impacted by the characteristics of the underlying data. In this work, we discuss various data characteristics, namely <i>Volume, Veracity, Validity, Variety</i>, and <i>Velocity,</i> that impact the design, reliability, and evolution of machine learning in medical computer vision.
