Management of traumatized teeth sometimes requires a multidisciplinary approach to obtain better esthetic results as well as for the conservation of tooth structure. This article describes the management of a case of oblique crown root fracture of anterior teeth. After the removal of the coronal fragment, the roots were filled with calcium hydroxide. Orthodontic extrusion was initiated for 4 months, and 3 mm extrusion was achieved. The ceramic crown was cemented on anterior fracture teeth. The periodontal condition appeared to be healthy and good esthetic was maintained during the follow-up appointment.","PeriodicalId":73700,"journal":{"name":"Journal of dental and oral care","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139349875","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this sense, academic collaboration has been reported by the literature from 2019 to 2022 as an asynchronous Internet user strategy. It is a dual factorial structure that explains entrepreneurship and innovation, but does not anticipate scenarios of high risk and intensive use of Internet technologies, devices and networks in synchronous or asynchronous mode. Therefore, the objective of the study was to establish an explanatory model of the impact of the pandemic on academic collaboration. A cross-sectional, psychometric and exploratory study was carried out with a sample of 177 women from a municipality in central Mexico, considering their participation in social services and professional practices. A structure of four factors was found: Internet user, face-to-face, synchronous and asynchronous, which explained the total variance. In reference to the state of the art that exalts a two-factor model, its extension is recommended to anticipate scenarios of increasing risk.","PeriodicalId":73700,"journal":{"name":"Journal of dental and oral care","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"73527743","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Initially an Open-Field use was defined in Hall and Ballechey’s 1932 paper, “A study of the rat’s behavior in a field: a contribution to method in comparative psychology”. Open Field Test (OFT) was a modest apparatus used in evaluation of limited behavioral profile anxiety, exploration, and locomotion activity. TSD (time space determinant) maze, CSS or CLOSE maze was recently developed in our laboratory aimed to find the cells involved in earlier food seeking behavior in rats given food stimulus in short and long pathway. However, it demonstrates relatively optimal test that provide a various information of behavior ranging from motor activity, anxiety, emotionality, spatial navigation, cognition, memory and memory errors to wide range of exploratory behaviors of tested animal evaluated via TSD maze equipped with video tracking software. A TSD maze comprised of a wall-enclosed area with adequate height prevents the rats to escape from maze. The TSD maze was recently used platform for evaluation of behavioral and neurophysiology of freely exploring animal especially rodents. This procedure will readily become useful to investigate the effect of different pharmacological compounds and toxicants on learning and memory as well as their anxiolytic and anxiogenic effects.","PeriodicalId":73700,"journal":{"name":"Journal of dental and oral care","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75760972","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Bacteria from the oral cavity can spread to the brain and cause life-threatening infections. In this literature review, the focus was placed on the relevant causative bacteria, surgical procedures, and correlated medical conditions revolving around brain abscesses following dental work. This paper is written from a neurological surgery perspective, using information collected from several case studies, case reviews, and other related published manuscripts. Several risk factors have been identified to predispose oral cavity bacterial infection to cause brain abscess: dental work done in the upper molars; right-to-left shunts in the heart; and poor dental hygiene. If the bacterium of the abscess is correctly identified, there is a greater effectiveness of treatment, but prolonging antibiotic and/or surgical treatment increases morbidity.","PeriodicalId":73700,"journal":{"name":"Journal of dental and oral care","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74954956","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
