Herein, inspired by the mussel,nwe designed and fabricated an adhesive antibacterial hydrogel dressingnbased on dynamic host–guest interaction that enabled on-demandnstimuli-triggered removal to effectively care for wounds. In contrastnwith most hard-to-removable dressing, this adhesive antibacterialnhydrogel exhibited strong adhesion property (85 kPa), which couldnachieve painless and noninvasive on-demand separation within 2 s throughna host–guest competition mechanism (amantadine). At the samentime, the hydrogel exhibited rapid self-healing properties, and thenbroken hydrogel could be completely repaired within 5 min. The hydrogelnalso had excellent protein adsorption properties, mechanical properties,nantibacterial properties, and biocompatibility. This on-demand removalnwas facilitated by the introduction of amantadine as a competitivenguest, without any significant adverse effects on cell activity (>90%)nor wound healing (98.5%) in vitro. The full-thicknessnrat-skin defect model and histomorphological evaluation showed thatnthe hydrogel could significantly promote wound healing and reducenscar formation by regulating inflammation, accelerating skin re-epithelialization,nand promoting granulation tissue formation. These results indicatenthat the developed adhesive antibacterial hydrogel offers a promisingntherapeutic strategy for the healing of extensive full-layer skinninjuries.","PeriodicalId":523609,"journal":{"name":"Figshare","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"147918960","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
