In this study, we propose and experimentallyndemonstrate a MoS<sub>2</sub>-based photodetector integrated withna sol–gel SiO<sub><i>x</i></sub>:TiO<sub><i>y</i></sub> WG. Based on the spectroscopic measurements performednfor our device, we concluded that the light entering the WG is almostncompletely channeled out from the WG and absorbed by the MoS<sub>2</sub> flake, which is deposited on the WG. Therefore, this device worksnas a photodetector. The light coupling into the MoS<sub>2</sub> regionnin this device construction is due to the high contrast of refractivenindex between the van der Waals crystal and the sol–gel WG,nwhich is ∼4 and ∼1.8, respectively. The obtained MoS<sub>2</sub>-based photodetectors exhibit a photoresponsivity of 0.3 AnW<sup>−1</sup> (<i>n</i>-type MoS<sub>2</sub>) andn7.53 mA W<sup>−1</sup> (<i>p</i>-type MoS<sub>2</sub>) at a bias voltage of 2 V. These results reveal great potentialnin the integration of sol–gel WGs with van der Waals crystalsnin optoelectronic applications.","PeriodicalId":522882,"journal":{"name":"Figshare","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"147905325","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
