Moleculesnof picolinic and nicotinic acids acting as bridging ligands favornthe formation of unprecedented dinuclear units in two uranyl bromidencomplexes, which comprise two metal centers in different, tetragonal-nand pentagonal-bipyramidal, coordination geometries. Moreover, thendifferent positions of the nitrogen atom in the molecule of nicotinicnacid induce significant bending of the heterodimer. The uranyl chloridencomplex with isonicotinic acid also exhibits a structure containingnmetal atoms in two unique geometries. The structure consists of cationicnand anionic isolated fragments. The anionic part is unprecedentednand represents the first example of a 1:3 uranyl halide unit withna tetragonal bipyramid surrounding the central atom.","PeriodicalId":521702,"journal":{"name":"Figshare","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"147884407","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
