An analysis of the promoter area of RARв2 gene-suppressors has been performed in the normal condition and in breast cancer by methyl-sensitive polymerase chain reaction. Methylation of CpG-dinucleotides in the RARв2 gene promoter area was demonstrated. Abnormal methylation of the RARв2 gene promoter area may be used as a marker for early diagnosis and monitoring of the treatment efficacy in patients with the breast cancer.","PeriodicalId":517592,"journal":{"name":"Global Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences","volume":"6 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140285977","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Aloe cortex residue, a byproduct of aloe vera processing, was subjected to fermentation to enhance its nutritional value and digestibility. Pigs were provided with feed containing varying concentrations of fermented aloe cortex residue, and their growth parameters, including weight gain, feed intake, and feed conversion ratio, were monitored over a specified period. Results indicate that the inclusion of fermented aloe cortex residue in pig feed positively impacts growth performance, suggesting its potential as a valuable feed additive in swine nutrition.","PeriodicalId":517592,"journal":{"name":"Global Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences","volume":"63 12","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140398642","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A sample of participants underwent a mindfulness intervention, while another group served as controls. Both groups completed tasks involving evaluative conditioning paradigms, including measures of attitude change toward neutral stimuli paired with positive and negative stimuli. Results indicate that individuals who engaged in mindfulness practice exhibited reduced susceptibility to evaluative conditioning compared to control participants. These findings contribute to understanding the potential role of mindfulness in cognitive processes related to attitude formation and modification.","PeriodicalId":517592,"journal":{"name":"Global Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences","volume":"151 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140404878","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Cleft lip and palate patients often exhibit abnormalities in the maxillary sinus region due to congenital malformations and surgical interventions. The objective of this analysis is to investigate the prevalence, types, and severity of sinus pathologies in CLP patients using CBCT imaging. A retrospective review of CBCT scans from CLP patients was conducted, and sinus abnormalities such as mucosal thickening, sinus opacification, and anatomical variations were identified and analyzed. The findings shed light on the spectrum of sinus pathologies in CLP patients and underscore the importance of comprehensive evaluation in treatment planning and management.","PeriodicalId":517592,"journal":{"name":"Global Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences","volume":"35 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140462203","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
