Gaigalas, P. Rynkun, and L. Kitovienė, Second-order Rayleigh–Schrödinger perturbation theory for the GRASP2018 package: core–valence correlations, Lith. J. Phys. 64(1), 20–39 (2024) (https://doi.org/10.3952/physics.2024.64.1.3), based on a combination of the relativistic configuration interaction method and on the stationary second-order Rayleigh–Schrödinger many-body perturbation theory in an irreducible tensorial form. In this extension, the perturbation theory accounts for both electron core–valence and core correlations when an atom or ion has any number of valence electrons, while the relativistic configuration interaction accounts for the rest of correlations. This allows a significant reduction of the space of the configuration state functions for complex atoms and ions. We also demonstrate how this method works for the energy structure calculation of Fe XV ion.","PeriodicalId":510488,"journal":{"name":"Lithuanian Journal of Physics","volume":"57 12","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141687746","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Plane-parallel capacitor structures were investigated by dielectric spectroscopy and piezoelectric measurement. Shift in a piezoelectric loop indicates that a sample has a small imprinted internal field, directed towards the copper top electrode. Temperature-dependent measurements in a range of 300–500 K were performed to obtain information on the frequency-depending response of the metal–ferroelectric–metal (MFM) structure and to analyze the effect of charge injection through the two Schottky-like contacts. The charge injection process greatly increases the conductivity in the low-frequency region.","PeriodicalId":510488,"journal":{"name":"Lithuanian Journal of Physics","volume":"23 12","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141687885","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The recent study applying this method to the analysis of the Panchromatic Hubble Andromeda Treasury (PHAT) survey star clusters includes objects up to ages of 300 Myr. In this study, we aim to extend a sample of star clusters with parameters determined based on CMDs of individual stars to older ages, up to ~700 Myr. We have developed an isochrone fitting procedure for CMDs of resolved and semi-resolved clusters to determine their parameters. The Bayesian approach is employed in determining star cluster ages and interstellar extinctions. We determined ages and extinctions for a sample of 854 star clusters from the M31 PHAT survey. We found that the star formation rate in the M31 galaxy was rather constant during the last ~130 Myr; however, a strong cluster formation episode occurred ~220 Myr ago, and can be attributed to the predicted passage of the M32 galaxy through the Andromeda’s disk.","PeriodicalId":510488,"journal":{"name":"Lithuanian Journal of Physics","volume":"14 23","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141685703","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, new manufacturing technologies, such as additive manufacturing (AM), open new possibilities for the same materials. In this paper, we investigate stainless steel powder for additive manufacturing technologies and parts fabricated from it. Powder chemical composition and morphology are presented in the study. The influence of laser power and laser scanning speed on the mechanical properties of materials and microstructure was studied, and the experimental results showed the optimal energy density values between 50 and 65 J/mm3. However, the value of energy density varies depending on which parameters are observed, i.e. the optimum energy density value is different for the ultimate tensile stress (UTS) and surface roughness or the Young’s modulus and hardness.","PeriodicalId":510488,"journal":{"name":"Lithuanian Journal of Physics","volume":"6 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141687673","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
