This study employed the ex-post facto design with the regressional approach. The population in this study consisted of 306 students of Class XII of the mechanical engineering expertise program in a vocational high school in the city of Yogyakarta. The sample size was determined using Issac & Michael’s table. The participants of this study were 170 vocational high school students. The sample was collected using purposive sampling, and data were collected through a survey. The collected data were then analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis which was applied for hypothesis testing. The results of this study show that (1) self-competence has a positive and significant effect on work interest (effectiveness value = 48.6%, rcount = 0.697, and tcount = 12.602); (2) social motivation has a positive and significant effect on work interest (effectiveness value = 58%, rcount = 0.762, and tcount = 15.236; (3) job market has a positive and significant effect on the work interest (effectiveness value = 70%, rcount = 0.837, and tcount = 19.821), and (4) self-competence, social motivation, and labor market collectively have a significant effect on the work interest with a percentage of 73.1% and the calculated value of 0.855. The effective contribution value of the self-ability variable is 10%, the social motivation variable is 12.7%, and the labor market variable is 50.4%. The relative contribution of the self-competence variable is 13.5%, the social motivation variable is 17.4%, and the labor market variable is 69%.","PeriodicalId":506610,"journal":{"name":"European Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences","volume":"1991 8","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139160426","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Agricultural entrepreneurship is among the most important employment alternatives proposed to young people, particularly in developing countries. Agricultural engineer graduates are among the people exposed to employment issues, so one would expect them to be mostly represented in agricultural entrepreneurship, given that they are agricultural specialists. This paper fills the knowledge gap about the extent to which agricultural engineer graduates occupationally integrate agricultural entrepreneurship in developing countries, especially in the Republic of Benin. The study focused on the period of 1980 to 2020 and on the engineer graduates from the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences (FSA) of the University of Abomey-Calavi, the oldest and the still most important high agricultural engineering education faculty of Benin. 510 agricultural engineer graduates from this faculty were surveyed via emails, phone calls, and face-to-face interviews. The gender and occupational integration data collected underwent frequency and percentage calculations, and the findings are presented in graphs and tables. Findings highlight that only about 1.8% of female and 6% of male agricultural engineer graduates of the studied faculty integrated agricultural entrepreneurship over the study period. 1.37% of other engineers tried out agricultural entrepreneurship before abandoning it. Thus, agricultural entrepreneurship is not yet an important employment solution for agricultural engineer graduates in Benin. Further conditions may be proposed to attract these professional graduates, whose presence in agricultural entrepreneurship could add more value to the quality and quantity of agricultural food supplied to consumers.","PeriodicalId":506610,"journal":{"name":"European Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences","volume":"19 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139171448","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These risks pose a challenge to national security for the Ministry of Military (MoD) and the TNI, made worse by other countries’ increasingly advanced military forces. The goal of this research is to improve the Total Defense System (Sishanta) and the availability of the national defense budget, particularly for modernizing the TNI’s main weapons system equipment. The research method used is qualitative research, with a descriptive research type. The results of the research show that to offset the military strength of other countries, the MoD and the TNI, among others, are optimizing the Sishanta by modernizing military forces, developing science and technology, developing the Strategic Environment, predicting future threats, and increasing international cooperation, as well as fostering awareness of defending the country. To meet the challenge of national securities, it is required to have the participation of reserve and supporting components, as well as optimal budget assistance, in order to protect the Republic of Indonesia’s sovereignty","PeriodicalId":506610,"journal":{"name":"European Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences","volume":"427 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139176790","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As a result, the geographic region of Mandoul is not the rest because it has a poverty rate of over 26%, which makes it a province of extreme poverty. Despite repeated reforms, this southern part of the country with enormous economic potential is lagging behind in terms of education with a low literacy rate for those aged 15 and over (40.3%). This is why it was chosen for this study. The objective is to measure the impact of the 2014 reform on the quality of school infrastructure and the recruitment of qualified teachers and the improvement in the quality of education provided for by this reform. The realization of this study focused on documentary research and a survey of key actors in the education system. The results showed that seven years after the reform, the results of its implementation remain mixed and its impact remains barely visible, especially in rural areas. Indeed, some public establishments around major urban centers have closed their doors due to precarious working conditions and the lack of teachers. This situation has caused, on the one hand, the creation of community colleges in rural areas and, on the other hand, the influx of students to the commune of Koumra, a major center of human attraction in the area. This category of students, living alone or with a tutor, finds it difficult to integrate and adapt to the new life far from their parents. Difficulties related to food, accommodation and school fees force learners to anticipate holidays for field work in order to ensure their school survival.","PeriodicalId":506610,"journal":{"name":"European Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139235223","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
