In this context is the Camaçari River, which crosses the municipality of Camaçari and stands out as an important affluent of the Joanes River Basin, responsible for the water supply of the Metropolitan Region of Salvador. Therefore, due to its importance, the Municipal Integrated Urbanization Program was implemented in the Camaçari River Basin to improve the infrastructure and sanitation of the municipality. Considering this scenario, the present study aimed to evaluate the socio-environmental results arising from the implementation of the program. The research had a descriptive nature and a quali-quantitative approach. Urban interventions were analyzed, which contained the processes of urban and environmental degradation and expanded the offer of public basic sanitation services. Also, environmental characterization was carried out through field observation protocols and physical-chemical and biological analyzes of water quality in seven sampling points distributed between the source of the Camaçari River and its mouth, which demonstrated improvements arising from the program. At the end of the study, it was verified that there was a 12% increase in water supply and 28% in sewage connections in households in the urban area of Camaçari and the consequent 18% decrease in hospitalizations from diseases related to inadequate environmental sanitation and 17% in the infant mortality rate between the years 2013 and 2017.","PeriodicalId":498444,"journal":{"name":"Revista Brasileira de Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação","volume":"59 24","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135871529","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The identification of populations at highest risk of exposure to arboviruses is an important topic in the public health scenario. Therefore, the present study is a review of the literature, which aimed to identify the association between the spatial distribution of Dengue Virus, Zika Virus and Chikungunya Virus and the social, environmental and economic aspects of individuals affected by arboviruses, the based on the analysis of published literature on the topic. Articles published in Portuguese, Spanish and English between 1997 and 2019 were included; and studies that addressed the clinic, infection, molecular biology, genetics, entomology and microbiology of viruses and mathematical modeling studies and reviews were excluded. The search for articles was carried out in the IBECS databases; CINAHL; MEDLINE; PubMed; Web of Science. After data mapping, PRISMA was used to extract the data. Therefore, of the 32 articles included in the analysis, the results showed that climatic factors such as temperature and precipitation affect the origin, evolution and distribution of vectors; and, consequently, the transmission of related pathogens. Furthermore, when considering socioeconomic aspects, populations from regions with greater social vulnerability are at greater risk of becoming ill from an arbovirus. Therefore, these results suggest that climatic factors and socioeconomic aspects are associated with the spatial distribution of arboviruses, making it essential to develop efficient control and prevention measures for arboviruses, especially in the most vulnerable regions.","PeriodicalId":498444,"journal":{"name":"Revista Brasileira de Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação","volume":"11 ","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135869392","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim of the current study is to investigate the ichthyofaunistic composition in a lower Rio Grande River tributary. Four regions distributed between two waterfalls were sampled. To do so, 50-minute samplings were carried out at each point, based on using 1.0 x 0.50-m sieves with 3-mm adjacent nodes. Subsequently, diversity indices (richness, abundance, dominance, Shannon-Winner, Simpson and Equitability parameters) were calculated in PAST® software for data analysis purposes. Shapiro-Wilker test was used to analyze data normality, whereas ANOVA test was adopted to analyze significant differences. In total, 1.926 individuals distributed among four orders, four families and six species were sampled. Cyprinodontiformes (49.01%) was the most abundant fish order; it was followed by Characiformes (48.75%), Cichliformes (1.30%) and Siluriformes (0.93%). Interpretive analyses did not indicate significant differences in this parameter, likely due to environmental homogeneity in the sampled regions. Thus, the herein investigated ichthyoaunistic composition may be linked to fish’s adaptive plasticity.","PeriodicalId":498444,"journal":{"name":"Revista Brasileira de Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação","volume":"285 ","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135872589","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This biological probe was immobilized on the polymer under graphite and characterized electrochemically. The detections of antigen-antibody interactions were conducted using the signal obtained from the oxidation of 4-aminoantipyrine (4 -AAP), interleaved with Am1, to enable the use of voltammetry technique of differential pulse. The detections of antibodies of A. marginale, using the graphite electrode functionalized with the probe Am1 was 66% higher than the graphite electrode not functionalized. The time of storage of the immunosensor was satisfactory, with reduced peak current by 35%, after 90 days. The results demonstrate the excellent applicability of this new functionalized platform for probe immobilization and diagnosis of anaplasmosis without the interference of the most similar bovine diseases","PeriodicalId":498444,"journal":{"name":"Revista Brasileira de Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação","volume":"116 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135871829","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Com o intuito de contribuir neste campo de pesquisa, esse trabalho tem como objetivo analisar o processo completo, iniciando com a crimpagem do stent até o implante na artéria usando simulação de hidroconformação do tubo pelo Método dos Elementos Finitos. Neste contexto, será simulado neste artigo os processos de crimpagem e angioplastia da artéria com uma placa de gordura. O objetivo deste estudo é analisar a integridade estrutural do stent crimpado, as condições da parede arterial após a angioplastia do balão e a integridade do stent e artéria após o processo de implante. Uma vantagem desta metodologia é a possibilidade de verificar as regiões da artéria e stent sujeitas a afinamento e enrugamento em cada etapa do processo. Os resultados obtidos comprovaram que simulação por hidroconformação do tubo por elementos finitos aplicado ao processo de angioplastia pode ajudar o projetista de stent ou o cardiologista a analisar e otimizar o projeto do stent e balão.","PeriodicalId":498444,"journal":{"name":"Revista Brasileira de Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação","volume":"2015 13","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135813940","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, it is necessary carrying out analyses about energy sources to achieve sustainable and feasible development. A country with huge hydroelectric potential has the production of clean energy in comparison to other energy sources as positive feature. Observing the power generation sector’s origin, and comparing and understanding its dynamics, are duties of both the State and the community. The aim of the review in the present article is to objectively understand the Brazilian energetic potential and its several sources. Accordingly, a bibliographic review was conducted to better understand the Brazilian energetic scenario. Brazil accounts for the biggest biodiversity on the planet, as well as for having great climatic variety, such as equatorial, tropical and altitude tropical, sub-tropical, semiarid and Atlantic tropical climate. Brazilian power supply is in the hands of big power plants, like hydroelectric, thermo-electric, wind and solar plants. Hydroelectric plants correspond to approximately 59% of the country’s total installed capacity; moreover, it is often presented as clean and renewable energy source. Yet, although there is much to be developed when it comes to the sustainability of the hydroelectric source, it remains as the most feasible and cleanest Brazilian energy channel.","PeriodicalId":498444,"journal":{"name":"Revista Brasileira de Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação","volume":"13 71","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135870245","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Through Python programming, it is possible to integrate a Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Engineering (CAD/CAE) system into the Revit platform using the Dynamo tool as an intermediary. This work presents the development and validation of a computational tool for dimensioning urban drainage coupled to the graphical project modeling platform Revit. The results obtained with the numerical code point to a good agreement when compared with those generated by conventional tools, using a calculator and an Excel spreadsheet. It shows that, due to the direct and automatic communication between drawing and dimensioning is possible to reduce the time spent filling out spreadsheets and facilitate analyses such as minimum inclinations of the pipe through warnings and factors such as the ratio of the water sheet and diameter through color scales.","PeriodicalId":498444,"journal":{"name":"Revista Brasileira de Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação","volume":"74 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135872596","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
