Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan penggunaan emoji terhadap kefasihan pemrosesan. Partisipan penelitian adalah mahasiswa aktif Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Lambung Mangkurat angkatan 2017-2020 yang menggunakan media sosial Twitter, dan berusia lebih dari 17 tahun sebanyak 61 orang. Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimen replikasi dengan desain between subjek yang dilakukan pada dua kelompok eksperimen yaitu kelompok perlakuan kongruen (pemberian emoji yang sesuai makna teks) dan inkongruen (pemberian emoji yang tidak sesuai makna teks). Hasil independent sample t-test menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada kefasihan pemrosesan antara kedua kelompok perlakuan. Hal ini berarti bahwa tidak ada efek penggunaan emoji terhadap kefasihan pemrosesan.","PeriodicalId":495880,"journal":{"name":"Gadjah Mada Journal of Psychology","volume":"2018 39","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135813842","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Adverse childhood experience merupakan pengalaman yang menjadi sumber stres dan trauma akut yang dialami oleh individu selama masa kanak-kanak, terutama selama di usia 18 tahun awal kehidupan, yang dalam beberapa literatur dapat meningkatkan kemungkinan gangguan perilaku internalizing problem dan externalizing problem. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui peran adverse childhood experience terhadap internalizing problem dan externalizing problem. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif korelasional. Subjek penelitian ini ditentukan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian mengindikasikan adanya pengaruh positif yang signifikan antara adverse childhood experience terhadap internalizing problem dan externalizing problem (β = 0,287; p<0,05 dan β = 0,280; p<0,05). Adverse childhood experience pada remaja memberikan sumbangsih positif terhadap internalizing problem sebesar 8,2% dan externalizing problem sebesar 7,8%.","PeriodicalId":495880,"journal":{"name":"Gadjah Mada Journal of Psychology","volume":"35 40","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135863835","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This experiment (N = 215 undergraduates; 63.36% female; Mage = 21.86, SD = 2.56) compared the impact of contextual harm on emotions of regret and guilt, and examined whether the role of a trait-relevant predictor in the form of mindfulness on regret/guilt could be explained by tendency of being under-engaged (trait alexithymia) and over-engaged (trait rumination) of affective experiences. In line with our predictions, (i) interpersonal harm aroused more guilt than intrapersonal harm, but the levels of regret between the two contexts were not unalike; (ii) mindfulness negatively correlated with alexithymia, rumination, regret, and guilt; and (iii) after controlling for type of harm, the relation between mindfulness and regret/guilt was mediated by alexithymia and rumination. Although guilt depends heavily on interpersonal context while regret is induced more globally, mindfulness inversely predicts the levels of both emotions through alexithymia and rumination","PeriodicalId":495880,"journal":{"name":"Gadjah Mada Journal of Psychology","volume":"198 ","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135869338","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Terdapat berbagai macam faktor yang menjadi penyebab seseorang melakukan perilaku NSSI, salah satunya adalah disregulasi emosi. Namun, publikasi penelitian mengenai topik serupa di Indonesia masih sangat terbatas sehingga tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui peran disregulasi emosi terhadap kecenderungan melakukan perilaku NSSI pada remaja. Partisipan (N=159) merupakan remaja berusia 14-24 tahun (laki-laki= 15, perempuan= 130, tidak menjawab= 14) yang pernah atau sedang melakukan perilaku NSSI. Data didapatkan dengan menyebarkan instrumen Inventory of Statement about Self-Injury (ISAS) dan Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale (DERS) yang sudah dimodifikasi. Hasil analisis menggunakan regresi linier sederhana menunjukkan bahwa disregulasi emosi berperan terhadap kecenderungan remaja melakukan perilaku NSSI dengan sumbangan efektif sebesar 26,1% (p<0,05).","PeriodicalId":495880,"journal":{"name":"Gadjah Mada Journal of Psychology","volume":"2017 47","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135813693","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Emotions can affect decision-making through immediate emotions (emotional states) and expected emotions (emotional consequences). Happy and sad are the strongest emotions. Therefore, this research aims to examine and explain the effect of emotional states, specifically happy and sad, on novice stock investors' purchase decision-making. This research uses the experiment method, with 30 novice stock investors divided into three groups (two experimental and one control group). The result shows no effect between happy and sad emotional states on purchase decision-making (p > 0,05). The result is caused by participants' tendencies to make rational decisions for the highest utility. The higher the utility they get, the happier they will be, and vice versa. Thus, happy and sad emotions act as expected emotions, not as immediate emotions in decision-making.","PeriodicalId":495880,"journal":{"name":"Gadjah Mada Journal of Psychology","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135870871","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Peneliti mengggunakan empat aspek mindfulness dan indikator diperoleh dari lapangan melalui open-ended questionaire dan wawancara. Adapun empat aspek tersebut adalah observasi, deskripsi, bertindak dengan kesadaran, serta menerima tanpa menilai pada stimulus internal dan eksternal. Partisipan pada penelitian ini berjumlah 201 orang mahasiswa S1, S2, dan mahasiswa profesi. Skala disebarkan kepada partisipan secara online dan offline. Seleksi item dilakukan dengan menggunakan hasil pengujian validitas isi, analisis daya beda, dan analisis faktor konfirmatori. Dari 48 item tersisa 13 item sebagai skala mindfulness. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa ada tiga aspek yang muncul dalam penelitian ini, sedangkan aspek bertindak dengan kesadaran tidak muncul sebagai dimensi spesifik dalam analisis. Oleh karena itu, penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai aspek tersebut atau perbaikan dalam pembuatan item skala mindfulness perlu untuk dilakukan. Walaupun memiliki keterbatasan, penelitian ini berkontribusi untuk menyediakan item pada aspek deskripsi dan menerima tanpa menilai yang mencerminkan stimulus internal dan stimulus eksternal, yang pada penelitian sebelumnya, banyak item stimulus eksternal yang gugur pada dua aspek tersebut. Oleh karena itu, skala modifikasi mindfulness ini dapat melihat mindfulness pada individu baik terhadap stimulus internal maupun stimulus eksternal.","PeriodicalId":495880,"journal":{"name":"Gadjah Mada Journal of Psychology","volume":"66 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135872003","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Employability was a term to describe a continuum process of fulfilling the skills and expertise that also changed rapidly. One’s behavior in crafting a job could lead to one’s employability. Organizational climate, which in this study was the creative climate, had a moderating role in affecting the job creation toward employability. This study aimed to explain the role of job crafting in predicting employability in government institution X and creative climate as the moderator. The quantitative approach was applied to this research, by distributing Employability Scale (α = 0.937), Job Crafting Scale (α=0.922), and Creative Climate Scale (α=0.950) to 129 employees of government institution X. The study showed that job crafting significantly predicted the employability (R2 = 56.7%; p = 0.000, p < 0.05) along with creative climate lessened the prediction of job crafting to employability (p = 0.027, p < 0.05). Thus, the hypothesis in this study was accepted. Therefore, it was worth noting that job crafting had benefits for employees’ employability with a constructive, suitable organizational climate.","PeriodicalId":495880,"journal":{"name":"Gadjah Mada Journal of Psychology","volume":"53 ","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135871489","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It was primarily used in some studies regarding depressive symptoms. However, there was no specific validation research in the Indonesian context. Thus, this study aimed to (1) investigate the item quality of depressive symptom measurement from IFLS fifth wave, (2) measurement precision of this scale, and (3) the measurement invariance based on gender using the IRT approach. This study used data from ILFS-5 in the KP (\"Keadaan Psikologis\" or Mental Health) section, which was CES-D10 consisting of 10 items and conduct IRT analysis using a 2-PL model. The number of participants from the data was 31,447. CFA analysis resulted a unidimensional model fit for this scale. Moreover, finding showed that this scale had good psychometric properties, including item discrimination, item location, and item fit, except item 5 and item 8. Despite the poor quality for those items, the reliability coefficient, including the items, met a reliable measurement criterion. Also, this scale had much information for assessing medium and severe depressive symptoms. Moreover, the Differential Item Functioning (DIF) analysis indicated that there was no item exhibiting DIF.","PeriodicalId":495880,"journal":{"name":"Gadjah Mada Journal of Psychology","volume":"36 2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135872622","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
