The study was carried out through field research, of a descriptive and explanatory nature, using questionnaires such as: Sociodemographic Profile, International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ), Anxiety Inventory (BAI) and Depression Inventory (BDI). In view of this, the results of the sociodemographic profile indicated that the sample is mostly composed of brown (as) and black (as) people, who did not perform paid activities and who did not have a good quality of sleep. Regarding the practice of physical activity, most classified themselves as very active and/or active, with a low number of insufficiently active and/or sedentary. As for the results of the BAI instrument, 61% had minimal and mild anxiety, while 39% resulted in moderate and severe. In the BDI depression inventory, 48% were minimal, 24% and 20% were mild and moderate, respectively, and 9% were severe. Characterizing the relationship between quota holders and non-quota holders, there were no significant differences in the analyzed variables. From this perspective, it was possible to note that it is of fundamental importance to create public policies in order to install and develop psychological support programs for university students, especially those affected by anxiety and depression.","PeriodicalId":495446,"journal":{"name":"Revista Comciência","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135595135","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
