Recalcitrant seeds do not tolerate desiccation and temperatures close to zero degrees, due to the lack of antioxidative mechanisms and maintenance of cellular compartments. Thus, this study aims to review the main concepts and techniques of drying and storage, usually used in so-called recalcitrant seeds.","PeriodicalId":495352,"journal":{"name":"Colloquium Agrariae","volume":"25 27","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135391558","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Methodologically, the study consists of an integrative literature review, with a universe of 51 articles. The data were descriptively analyzed using an instrument called 'IR protocol' and later the findings were submitted to the content analysis procedure. As a result, it was possible to construct seven categories: 1) Masculinity performativity at school; 2) Teachers and the normalization of masculinities; 3) Male teachers; 4) Black masculinities at school; 5) Violence in schools and masculinities; 6) Male homosexuality at school; 7) Alternative masculinities at school. The analysis suggests that the performativity of masculinity at school involves aspects such as virility, strength, body changes and behaviors such as encouraging the practice of physical exercise. At school, the reference of masculinity is the cis-heterosexual-white, and that the school tries to produce male subjects based on this pattern, without considering that situations of school violence are linked to this model. Male teachers are not well seen in early childhood education, as the place of care is gendered for women and black masculinities, as well as homosexual masculinities are rejected and neglected by the entire school body. Finally, it is concluded that it is necessary to build alternative masculinities at school, but this requires the commitment of various social/political actors.","PeriodicalId":495352,"journal":{"name":"Colloquium Agrariae","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135245733","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The use of ground cover crops for soil decompaction has been a subject of many studies. That has promising results both used alone and in association with mechanical chiseling. The objective of this study was to evaluate the influence of cover crops associated or not with mechanical chiseling, for that, on the physical attributes of the soil, and the wheat grain yield, in an Ultisol from the Central Depression of RS. The experimental design used was randomized blocks with 3 replications in each block, in a 2 x 5 factorial scheme. Where the factor A: soil chiseling - chiseled and non-chiseled, and P fator: cover crops – pigeon pea (Cajanus cajan), Crotalaria juncea (Crotalaria juncea), pearl millet (Pennisetum americanum) and velvet bean (Mucuna aterrima). The chiseling was adjusted to a depth of 0.30m, with 5 rods spaced 0.3m apart. The determinations carried out were: macroporosity, microporosity, total soil porosity, bulk density (BD), penetration resistance (RP), and grain yield. The physical attributes of the soil showed improvements in the second year evaluated, highlighting the treatments with pearl millet and velvet bean that showed higher differences. The maximum RP of the Soil was observed at a depth of 0.25m with 1.64 Mpa. There was a significant difference in the RP of the soil between the treatments of factor A at depths of 0.15 - 0.20 and 0.25m. Mechanical chiseling provided a 15% increase in wheat grain yield compared to non-chiseling treatment, while P factor treatments did not provide any gain.","PeriodicalId":495352,"journal":{"name":"Colloquium Agrariae","volume":"87 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136062152","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In view of the above, the present study aims to qualitatively evaluate, through this technique, the longitudinal distribution of corn seeds as a function of different stands and operational speeds during the sowing process. The experiment was carried out in a randomized block design (CBD) with three replications and in a split-plot design. Data were submitted to analysis of variance and when significant, analyzed using Tukey's test, with 5% significance. To carry out the statistical process control, mean and amplitude control charts were used to evaluate the effect of operational speed, seed distribution, deposition depth and plant germination. The results indicate that the use of statistical process control is an efficient tool to identify the behavior of the corn sowing process. Based on the results, speeds close to 4.5 km/h allowed an efficient sowing process, as it presented a higher percentage of normal spaces in the distribution of maize seeds.","PeriodicalId":495352,"journal":{"name":"Colloquium Agrariae","volume":"73 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135671514","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
