However, with the mismatch between demographic growth and job availability, we have observed an increase of unemployment rate since the1980s. In response to this unemployment, specifically among young people, aggravated by socio-political crises and the mismatch between training received in universities and the job market, the entrepreneurial solution seems to be the best option proposed by international organizations and African leaders. Côte d’Ivoire is not exempted from this logic. The aim of this study is then to analyze the perception about entrepreneurship among young people, particularly 3rd year sociology students at Alassane Ouattara University of Bouaké (Côte d’Ivoire). The study, both qualitative and quantitative, is based on focus group and questionnaire, concerns 156 students. For analysis, the study mobilized the model of formation of entrepreneurial event by Shapero and Sokol (1982) and the theory of reasoned action by Fishbein and Ajzen (1975). The research results show that overall, students do not perceive entrepreneurship as an opportunity. Yet, those who operate in an entrepreneurial environment have different vision.","PeriodicalId":492269,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Arts Humanities and Social Studies","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134887406","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) and Gram Panchayat, Banks, and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) are key players in the program, but they have limitations in providing training for income-generating activities, marketing skills, and maintaining account records. The study found that members were not satisfied with traditional activities such as tailoring, dairy, and agriculture, and had difficulty earning enough money from them. Many members had not received skill development training. The study also found that self-help group members faced non-cooperation by government employees, specifically bank employees, who were disinterested in providing necessary documents and showing reluctance towards working with rural women. Additionally, members reported difficulty in obtaining loans from the bank, delays in credit facilities and perceived the interest rate as high. The study suggests that social mobilization animators should make multiple visits to potential beneficiaries to break mental barriers and encourage participation, and for all group members to be included in the selection process and provided with detailed information about their roles.","PeriodicalId":492269,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Arts Humanities and Social Studies","volume":"64 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135650594","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To do this, he questions their motivations, their perceptions of social norms on tattooing before the decision to tattoo themselves and their representations of the external gaze on their tattooed identity. The data are mainly derived from semi-structured interviews. The results first show that there is a variation in motivations which reveals an increase in a feeling of freedom for girls to have control over their bodies. Then they explain that the predispositions to tattoo oneself are declined in a differentiated interpretation of the social acceptance of tattoos. Finally, the results indicate that the intention to confront social norms and expose oneself to the risk of social exclusion is not systematically linked to the decision to tattoo oneself. But it is appreciated in a process that highlights the ability of girls to socially assume or not their new identity.","PeriodicalId":492269,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Arts Humanities and Social Studies","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136208714","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
