The stakeholder cyber safety is paramount and such intelligence frameworks help leveraging the business value of its intellectual properties. Events related to securing the cyber aspects of an organization are possible by connecting it with essential features of decision theory. Few assumptions are made pertaining to descriptive, prescriptive and normative decision theory which help in identification of cyber weakness and security loopholes of an organization. This study extracts novel viewpoints from the strongholds of decision theoretical models and propagates decisions on how to face the cyber-attacks.","PeriodicalId":488591,"journal":{"name":"IRO Journal On Sustainable Wireless Systems","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135736748","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed algorithms aim to estimate clusters in the presence of missing values and leverage data imputation techniques to fill in the gaps in the target and station device matrices. A modified loss function is introduced to shape the cluster centers, and robust Non-negative Matrix Factorization (NMF) algorithms are utilized to enhance the robustness of the clustering process. This research contributes to the field of cognitive sensor networks by providing insights into the challenges of partial clustering and presenting effective algorithms to address them. The proposed methods have the potential to enhance the performance of clustering tasks in various domains, including sensor networks, by accounting for missing data and producing accurate cluster reconstructions.","PeriodicalId":488591,"journal":{"name":"IRO Journal On Sustainable Wireless Systems","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135736841","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To counteract these risks, an innovative research centered around a dual-purpose sensor system is proposed. This system effectively detects both gas leaks and temperature anomalies using a single sensor, optimizing efficiency and affordability. Notably, an added feature involves a low-cost camera module that captures images during critical situations like gas leaks or extreme temperature changes. These images are then transmitted via IoT technology to a designated Telegram channel, providing an additional layer of visual data to aid in emergency responses. The research stands out for its cost-effective design, focusing on low energy consumption and practical usage, making it an ideal solution for elevating kitchen safety standards.","PeriodicalId":488591,"journal":{"name":"IRO Journal On Sustainable Wireless Systems","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135735363","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, in order to establish these type of links, the receiver and transmitter need mutual discovery which will result in high energy consumption and large latency. The proposed work deals with reduction of energy consumption and latency significantly with the help of a fully digital front-end. The digital beamformer will receive the spatial samples within a shot, from all directions. However, in analog front-ends, sampling is allowed for beamforming in one particular direction at a time resulting in the time period in which the mobile is “on” for longer. This will result in an increase in energy consumption by more than four times for the analog front-end when compared with digital front-ends, taking into consideration the antenna arrays’ size. However, from the power consumption point of view, using a fully digital beamforming post beam discovery is not recommended. Hence in order to overcome this drawback, a digital beamformer coupled with a 4-bit A-D convertor with low resolution is proposed. The use of low resolution will decrease the power consumption such that it is in the same zone as that of analog beam forming while it is possible to make use of the fully digital beamforming spatial multiplexing capabilities resulting in improved energy efficiency and reduced discovery latency.","PeriodicalId":488591,"journal":{"name":"IRO Journal On Sustainable Wireless Systems","volume":"1 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141202792","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The third generation partnership project (3GPP) in the 5G scenario based on the Enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB) scheme is considered. Factors like flexibility, complexity of computation, bit error rate (BER), and block error rate (BLER) are considered for the purpose of evaluation of the coding schemes. In order to evaluate the performance various applications and services, a suitable set is of parameters are provided. The candidate schemes considered for this purpose are polar codes, low density parity check (LDPC) and turbo codes. Fair comparison is performed by investigation of block lengths and obtaining suitable rates by proper design. In an additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel, the performance of BLER / BER is obtained for diverse block lengths and code rates based on simulation. The simulation results show that the performance of LDPC is relatively efficient for various code rates and block lengths despite the better performance of polar codes at short block lengths. As an added advantage, LDPC codes also offer relatively low complexity.","PeriodicalId":488591,"journal":{"name":"IRO Journal On Sustainable Wireless Systems","volume":" 26","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-03-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141220917","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
