The study details many research articles published in various academic journals and other reliable sources. Literature analysis involves identifying trends, common findings, as well as recent developments in the use of these models as bankruptcy prediction tools. This literature review indicates that despite significant advancements in the development of bankruptcy prediction models, challenges persist in applying these models universally across different contexts, particularly given contextual variations between industries and countries. The insights from this literature study are valuable for researchers, financial practitioners, and decision-makers in applying any models for bankruptcy prediction analysis. Furthermore, this literature review encourages further research in developing more sophisticated and timely bankruptcy prediction models.","PeriodicalId":486053,"journal":{"name":"International journal of business, economics and management","volume":"3 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-08-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141921482","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices can furnish companies with a plethora of competitive benefits, setting them apart in the market landscape. In line with this viewpoint, our current endeavor seeks to dissect how companies progress through the adoption of ESG measures, and the array of advantages this adoption brings forth. The study employed an integrative review methodology, which involves comprehensively examining and describing a topic by gathering information from various published sources. Through this research approach, it becomes evident that companies embracing ESG practices can realize cost savings linked to environmental, legal, and reputational risks. Moreover, such adoption leads to heightened operational efficiency and enhanced long-term resilience. Among the research findings, a clear trend has emerged where discussions surrounding the implementation of ESG within the business realm have grown significantly in recent years. In essence, this assertion emphasizes the significance of integrating ESG factors into investments. However, it's crucial to comprehensively grasp both their benefits and drawbacks. This, in turn, bolsters the organization's credibility, augments financial performance, and enhances overall productivity. This collective effort contributes to the cultivation of a more conscientious and responsible business ecosystem. The dedication to these principles should be authentic and tangibly manifested across all facets and undertakings of the company.","PeriodicalId":486053,"journal":{"name":"International journal of business, economics and management","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135619673","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Transportation systems are generally needed for residents in island regions to maintain their livelihood. Meanwhile, it is also necessary for people who live in outside regions such as tourists. Therefore, the transportation systems would be significant to maintain both tourism industries and the social situations in many of islands in Japan. This study, first, applied the network analysis to verify the nexus of connections among the transportation network in island regions in Japan. Degree centrality was calculated, and the result shows that some islands which is well-known as the tourism destinations located in southern part of Japan obtained many of connections to other places including other islands, as well as the mainland. Then regression model with the result of network analysis was composed and estimated by maximum likelihood method. The outcome shows that the situations of island society such as aged problem and economy in the islands would be influenced to maintain the airlines, as well as the amount of tourism demand. From these results, this paper concluded that both internal situations of island society and the tourism demand would be important to maintain island’s transportation system.","PeriodicalId":486053,"journal":{"name":"International journal of business, economics and management","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135901476","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The hypothesis of the research was that exporters' price forecasting errors affected their export forecasting errors in the period evaluated. The data were obtained from the Ministry of Development, Industry and Trade (MIDIC). Sugar prices were translated to 2020 Brazilian currency values (R$) and then to US dollars using the 2020 (R$/USD) average conversion rate. Autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) models were used to forecast sugar exports and prices over the entire period. Geometric growth rates of exports and prices were estimated for each quartile using trend evaluation models. Dummy variables were used to test whether there were differences between the elasticities measuring the forecast errors of exports as a function of the forecast errors of sugar prices in each quartile. The estimated models proved to be parsimonious and robust from a statistical point of view. The hypotheses that prices and export quantities expanded at different rates in the four quartiles were confirmed and the estimated elasticities were shown to be statistically different suggesting that export forecasting errors are likely to be related to sugar price forecasts.","PeriodicalId":486053,"journal":{"name":"International journal of business, economics and management","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135248987","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
