In Indonesia, there are various typical tribal houses, one of which is the Bugis house, both in Kemujan Village, Karimunjawa and South Sulawesi. The Bugis tribe originates from South Sulawesi and has existed since the colonial era. The Bugis tribe spread to other areas because this tribe was known as traders. The arrival of the Bugis tribe in Kemujan Village began during the war, when they came by ship to find shelter. There are differences between the Bugis tribe in South Sulawesi and those in Kemujan Karimunjawa Village who have experienced adaptation, so this research wants to see how far the transformation has occurred from the original in South Sulawesi to the one in Kemujan Karimunjawa Village. The aim of this research is to identify the differences in physical characteristics of Bugis houses in Kemujan Karimunjawa Village and South Sulawesi. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method and samples were taken using a purposive technique.
