In contrast to classical temporal logics like LTL or CTL, they can express relations of individual execution traces of a system. Among others, they can formalize information-flow principles and other security requirements that are not definable in LTL or CTL. The article by Bernd Finkbeiner provides an overview of temporal logics for hyperproperties. The first part provides an introduction tp HyperLTL and algorithmic problems (satisfiability, model checking, monitoring, synthesis).
