This study also aims to identify the sentiments and emotions of netizens about waqf in Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative method with a sentiment analysis approach with the help of Orange Data Mining. The data used are tweets from Twitter taken from April 10, 2023, to April 24, 2023. Researchers used the keyword \"Wakaf\" to get 1,000 tweets. The results of the study show that the words \"Wakaf,\" \"Masjid,\" and “Tanah\" are the three words that most often appear in discussions on the topic of waqf on Twitter. These three words refer to the people in Indonesia, where the majority donate part of their wealth in the form of land designated as a mosque. On social media, Twitter is dominated by tweets with neutral sentiments shown by happy emotions, as much as 76.37% of the total tweets. Zakat is an obligation for Muslims, while tax is an obligation for all citizens. Therefore, this research aims to explore the prevailing local wisdom in the Kudus community, in order to gain insights into how these obligations are observed and complied with. The local wisdom philosophy of the Kudus community, known as ‘Gusjigang’, originated from the esteemed heritage of Holy Sunan. It embodies the values of good behavior, studiousness, and tenacious trading (entrepreneurship). Grounded by this philosophy, this study aims to comprehend the motivations behind the adherence of local entrepreneurs to zakat and tax using a case study approach. Following this, in order to gather relevant data, qualitative open-ended interviews and document analysis were employed as the primary source of data collection. Through this process, it was found that the prioritization of zakat over tax stems from the religious regulations and laws, which take precedence over the mandates of fellow human beings. It is also important to note that from the perspective of the zakat administration, the distribution of zakat was considered more transparent and fairer as evidenced by the insights gleaned from the interviews. </em>","PeriodicalId":471418,"journal":{"name":"Ziswaf: Jurnal Zakat dan Wakaf","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135155107","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In Indonesia, where the majority of the population follows Islam, the principles of poverty eradication through social safety system align with the constitutional guidelines. Among these principles are social assistance and mustahik Zakat. However, the process of obtaining accurate data on beneficiaries of social assistance often encounters challenges, leading to the emergence of inaccurate information. This is in line with Article 28 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 13 of 2011 concerning Handling The Poor, where the government is required to develop a comprehensive plan to aid the impoverished. It also involves establishing a database of those in need and implementing efficient application methods. From this context, the data collection issues hinder the ability of the government to achieve critical objectives, such as poverty reduction and enhancing the overall well-being of the population. Therefore, this study aims to determine a position where Islamic and state law agree on the patterns of helping poor people eradicate poverty toward the coexistence of social aid and mustahik Zakat data, using a normative legal method. The results showed that a single set of data should include both the people obtaining social aid and mustahik Zakat, for poverty reduction to be successful and progressive. For data to be integrated, the rules guiding the agreement of everyone should also be emphasized, to ensure that poor people were obtaining help from social services or Zakat mustahik.
