Utviklingsbegrepet ble aktualisert i opplysningstiden, og kan knyttes til Nicolas de Condorcets ide om økt perfektibilitet både for enkeltmennesker og samfunn. Begrepet bærekraft tok form som et motsvar til den nye utviklingsoptimismen og knyttes til Thomas Malthus, som mente at perfektibilitet og utvikling var umulig, og at Gud hadde skapt et misforhold mellom befolkningsvekst og ressurstilgang. Det samme misforholdet ble sentralt for Darwins teori om evolusjon ved naturlig seleksjon, der økosystemisk stabilitet er forutsetningen for konkurranse om begrensede ressurser og gradvise tilpasninger. Utvikling, på den annen side, forutsetter ubalanse. Språkfiguren bærekraftig utvikling er følgelig et oksymoron. Mulige faktorer som kan ha bidratt til økt aksept for språkfigurer uten mening drøftes i lys av underholdningsindustrien, mem-teori og postmodernisme, og blir deretter undersøkt i lys av Harry Frankfurts term bullshit. Konklusjonen er at bærekraftig utvikling, slik det vanligvis brukes, ikke uten videre er pedagogisk egnet for skole og utdanning. Å behandle språkkonstruksjoner som om de var konsistente begreper bidrar heller til å lamslå elevenes tenkeevne. Artikkelen slutter likevel med å peke ut mulige retninger for å behandle bærekraftig utvikling i en meningsgivende pedagogisk kontekst.","PeriodicalId":471333,"journal":{"name":"Nordisk tidsskrift for pedagogikk & kritikk","volume":"41 11","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136282039","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Detta görs i ljuset av skolledares och fritidshemspersonals berättelser, vilka diskuteras i relation till de utredningar som föreslår ett allmänt och avgiftsfritt fritidshem för alla barn i åldern 6–9 år (SOU 2020:34; SOU 2022:61). Både utredningarna och berättelserna innehåller exempel på hur fritidshemmets verksamhet på olika sätt kan vara värdefull för barn i områden med socioekonomiska utmaningar. Å ena sidan beskrivs värdet av en traditionell fritidspedagogik med fokus på identitetsskapande, socialt samspel och utveckling av demokratiska förhållningssätt. Å andra sidan framträder att ett beslut om ett allmänt och avgiftsfritt fritidshem skulle kunna få negativa konsekvenser. Om inte resurser som lokaler och personal tillförs, kan fritidshemmen i bästa fall endast erbjuda barnpassning. Sammantaget framträder en bild av fritidshemmets potential, men också vilka resurser som krävs för att denna potential ska kunna realiseras. I essän diskuteras hur det kompensatoriska uppdraget kan förstås i en tid då barns fritid beskrivs som problematisk. English abstract School-Age Educare Centers in Areas With Socio-Economic Challenges. An Untapped Potential In this essay, the compensatory mission of the Swedish school-age educare is discussed, focusing specifically on school-age educare centers in areas with socio-economic challenges. This is made in the light of narratives of principals and school-age educare staff and in relation to the Official Reports of the Swedish Government (SOU 2020:34; SOU 2022:61), which proposes a free of charge school-age educare for all children aged 6–9 years. Both the official reports and the narratives contain several examples of how school-age educare centers can be valuable in a variety of ways for the children growing up in areas with socio-economic challenges. On the one hand, the potential of a traditional school-age educare pedagogy, where children can develop the fundamental democratic values on which the Swedish society is based, is described. On the other hand, it becomes clear that free school-age educare for all children also could lead to negative consequences. If resources aren’t provided, in form of better premises and more staff, the centers can only in the best-case scenario provide child minding. Overall, a picture of the school-age educare centers’ potential emerges, but also what kind of resources that might be required for this potential to be realized. In conclusion, the essay reflects upon how the compensatory mission can be understood in a time where children’s free time is described as more and more problematic.","PeriodicalId":471333,"journal":{"name":"Nordisk tidsskrift for pedagogikk & kritikk","volume":"106 4","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135136251","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Forsking tyder på at elevråda er problematiske som demokratisk erfaring for elevane, og dei er i ferd med å bli svekte i lovverk og læreplanverk. Det er derfor viktig å drøfta i kva grad og korleis demokratiske elevråd er mogelege. Framgangsmåten er å trekkja på teoriar om demokrati i politisk liv og antyda korleis elevråd kan spegla slike krav både når det gjeld val, prosessane i elevrådet og gjennomslaget elevrådet har mot skuleleiinga. English abstract Are Democratic Student Councils Possible? Empirical research suggests that student councils in secondary and primary education hardly live up to democratic standards, and their importance in Norwegian curricular and legal frameworks is about to be reduced. It is therefore highly urgent to discuss what democratic councils could be, in order to contribute to their revitalization. The approach is to draw on theories of democracy as a form of government in which citizens participate, and to suggest how student councils may realize the requirements of such theories concerning elections, intra-council processes and in council–school management relations.","PeriodicalId":471333,"journal":{"name":"Nordisk tidsskrift for pedagogikk & kritikk","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135351072","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Studiens mixed-methods-design omfattet nettskjema med kvantitative og kvalitative spørsmål knyttet til samarbeid om elevers faglige og sosiale mestring. Studiens resultat gir implikasjoner for videreutvikling av det nasjonale prosjektet Et lag rundt læreren. Resultatene synliggjør bredde i læreres samarbeidsrelasjoner, samt variasjon knyttet til fag- og kontaktlærers rolle og skolers varighet i prosjektet. Studiens resultat viser at økt tilstedeværelse og støtte fra pedagogisk-psykologisk tjeneste (PPT) og helsesykepleier i lærers skolehverdag og etablering av skolevise, tverrfaglige lag bidrar til praksisfellesskap med mer relevant støtte til elevers faglige og sosiale mestring. Studiens resultat drøftes i lys av systemteoretiske perspektiv. Tverrfaglig samarbeid utforskes som sosial støtte i læreres praksisfellesskap og som samskaping på systemnivå. Konklusjonen peker på utfordringer ved ulik tverrfaglig samarbeidspraksis mellom skoler og læreres meningsforhandlinger av prosjektets kunnskapsgrunnlag, noe som utfordrer ledelse av utviklingsarbeidet i prosjektet. English abstract Expanding teachers’ community of practice? Exploring teachers’ experiences of interdisciplinary collaboration in Norway Based on political and professional guidelines to strengthened interdisciplinary collaboration in schools, the purpose of the study was to explore teachers’ experiences with practices of interdisciplinarity in an ongoing project including all primary and secondary schools in a medium-sized Norwegian municipality. Research methods included online forms with quantitative and qualitative questions related to exploring teachers’ experiences. The results of the study give implications to development in the national project A team around the teacher. The results highlight the multitude of teachers’ collaborative relationships, as well as the variation related to teachers’ role and duration in the project. The results of the study show that increased presence and support from the educational psychological service (PPT) and public health nurses in teachers’ everyday work, as well as the establishment of school-wise, interdisciplinary teams (lag), contribute developing communities of practice with more relevant support for academic and social coping for individual pupils. The results of the study are discussed using systems theories. Interdisciplinary collaboration is explored as social support in the teachers’ community of practice and as co-creation at system level. The conclusion points to challenges linked to different interdisciplinary collaborative practices between schools and teachers’ negotiation of the project’s knowledge base, which challenges the manage","PeriodicalId":471333,"journal":{"name":"Nordisk tidsskrift for pedagogikk & kritikk","volume":"117 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135901356","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
