The experimentation on these classifiers has been performed using the Rochester Institute of Technology EEG Dataset. The comparative analysis is measured based on the classifiers performance parameters such as accuracy, area under the ROC curve (AUC), specificity, recall, and precision. EEG signals are usually captivated to diagnose the problems related to the electrical activities of the brain as it tracks and records brain wave patterns to produce a definitive brain seizure activities. While exercising machine learning practices, various data preprocessing techniques were implemented to attain cleansed and organized data to predict better results and higher accuracy. Jun, Jong-Soo Lee","doi":"10.21742/ijbsbt.2020.12.1.04","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.21742/ijbsbt.2020.12.1.04","url":null,"abstract":"This paper presents the study results on the dissolved oxygen concentration behavior in water body with underwater bubbling. The rage of algae in dams and reservoirs around the country, especially during the summer season, is threatening the habitat environment of these water resources by significantly lowering the dissolved oxygen concentration level. Different aeration devices based on underwater bubbling are widely applied in order to remedy this problem, however, fundamental study results on the performance of these devices in terms of dissolved oxygen level improvement are rarely reported in literature. In the present study, we focus on the quantitative evaluation of oxygen transfer performance of bubble diffusion process, which is the underlying physical model of aeration devices. For this purpose, related physical laws such as Henry’s law of solubility, Fick’s law of diffusion along with water quality standards are reviewed and a new test apparatus is established for this study, with which both the degassing and aeration can be systematically simulated. The test apparatus is composed of a closed water tank (stainless steel; 0.65m × 0.65m × 1.0m) with depressurization and degassing feature, underwater bubbler and measurement system for temperature, pressure and oxygen level. This system is capable of maintaining minimum pressure level of 0.1 atm and the dissolved oxygen concentration level down to 2 mg/L. According to the test results for a commercially available bubbler at three different air flow rates (10, 20, and 30 slpm) and at two bubbling depths of 0.4m and 0.8m, the oxygen transfer efficiency of 1.3-2.5% are confirmed and the best performing conditions could be successfully identified.","PeriodicalId":448456,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Bio-Science and Bio-Technology","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125823532","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Participants wore the navicular orthotic support for more than 8 hours a day. Measurements were taken before putting on the foot apparatus and at 6 and 12 months after; all measurements were taken while the children were not wearing the orthosis. After using the orthosis with added navicular support, the resting calcaneal standing position increased and the navicular height also increased. The increase in the navicular height suggested that the navicular bone collapsed due to the severe flexible pes planus. Our research findings showed that the use of orthosis with navicular support had a good effect for treating children with severe flexible pes planus accompanied by navicular drop. By comparing the long-term effects of orthotics used in this study with existing ones currently used for treatment of flexible pes planus, we can now determine the effects of orthotics with added navicular support and we can have a positive effect on the treatment of navicular drop when accompanied by the symptoms of pes planus. This study showed that orthotics with navicular support increased the resting calcaneal standing position and navicular height in children with severe flexible pes planus.","PeriodicalId":448456,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Bio-Science and Bio-Technology","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128070035","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
