However, the adoption of HRIS is scanty in many organizations, especially in the developing countries. This study attempted to investigate application of Unified Technology Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model in the context of adoption of Human Resource Information System (HRIS) in Nepali organizations. It also examined the mediating role of Behavioral Intention for actual use of HRIS. The study further investigated the moderating role of prior exposure for generating actual use of HRIS when behavioral intention already existed. One hundred thirty employees from the Human Resource Unit of different organizations participated in the study. The results showed that three factors - facilitating condition, performance expectancy, and hedonic motivation, generate behavioral intention for adoption of HRIS. The influence of these factors on actual use of HRIS was partially mediated by behavioral intention for adoption. Prior exposure of employees moderated the positive influence of three factors on actual use of HRIS. The implications of the study are discussed and limitations of the study are highlighted.","PeriodicalId":446343,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Business and Management Research","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132024660","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Applying structural model analysis of the data, it shows that among the four behavioral variables, market, heuristic, and herding factors have significant effects on investment performance. This study observes more reliance and dependence of investors on market information and sentiments. Research findings suggest that investors consider the fundamentals of the stock and consider the investors' behavior to get a return from the market. The study has been confined to five metropolitan cities with 350 samples randomly obtained in 2018 from different broking firms.","PeriodicalId":446343,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Business and Management Research","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127407780","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Similar studies in Nepal have been limited to banking sector only. However, this paper aims to investigate the factors that affect the market share prices of life insurance companies listed in Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE). All the life insurance companies listed in Nepal Stock Exchange with panel data for the period 2012/13-2017/18 was taken as a sample for the study. The data was analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistics, while the hypothesis was tested using the regression coefficients based on the results of the multiple regression model in this study. The study revealed that earning per share, dividend per share, price-earnings ratio, age of the company and dividend yield are the major determinants of share price. The study concludes that dividends play a major role when Nepalese investors make investment. Further, it was revealed that dividend policy of the companies plays a major role in shaping investor decisions in Nepal.","PeriodicalId":446343,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Business and Management Research","volume":"218 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115982555","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A purposive sampling technique was used to collect data from 200 undergraduate students in the Kathmandu Valley using self-administered questionnaires. Data were analyzed by applying Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). This research paper found a significant positive influence of resource sharing on behavior intention of social media adoption. The hypothesis showed that perceived ease of use partially mediated the relationship between collaboration and behavior of educational use of social media. However, the research found no significant influence of perceived ease of use, and perceived usefulness on behavior intention of social media adoption. Using the findings of this paper, the research paper discussed the theoretical and practical implications for researchers and educators. The paper incorporates resource sharing and collaboration variables to the existing TAM framework.","PeriodicalId":446343,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Business and Management Research","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117256139","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
