Zeqiraj","doi":"10.33422/3rd.raseconf.2021.07.02","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.33422/3rd.raseconf.2021.07.02","url":null,"abstract":"The optimal determination of the number of injection and production wells as well as their trajectories in an oil field depends on a series of factors which in most cases are of a stochastic nature. Among the uncertain factors we can mention the geological complexity, combinations of petrophysical, economic parameters, flow regimes, oil type, reservoir rock, sandstone or carbonate. The main reason is to develop optimal algorithms that provide the solution to the problem in a relatively short time or with a relatively small number of iterations. Exactly the latter, time and number of iterations has been a major handicap in the past where it took days to find a solution to the problem. So, the problem is that we should not give greater priority to the speed of computers than the way algorithms are developed in a smart way. The advantages in this regard have been quite good, suffice it to mention the genetic algorithm, particle swarm. So, it is imperative to develop intelligent algorithms that through reservoir simulations give us in a relatively short time, say some hours, the optimal solution to the optimization problem: the location of existing injection and production wells and the location of the trajectory of the candidate wells that will be drilled for both injection and exploitation to achieve the final goal which is the maximization of the Net Present Value. The problem we will pose for solution is of a dual stochastic nature: both in terms of geological uncertainty and economic uncertainty.","PeriodicalId":440350,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of The 3rd International Conference on Advanced Research in Applied Science and Engineering","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125814887","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

{"title":"Effect of Mobile Phase Composition on the Separation of Neutral Lipids, γ-Oryzanol and its Saponified Compounds on a 100-Å Phenogel Column","authors":"Siriluck Pojjanapornpun","doi":"10.33422/3rd.raseconf.2021.07.01","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.33422/3rd.raseconf.2021.07.01","url":null,"abstract":". Monitoring of bioactive compounds in rice bran oil is generally required more than one approach. This study attempted to simultaneously analyze the bioactive compounds (γ-oryzanol (OZ), free sterols (both phytosterols and triterpene alcohols, FS), ferulic acid (FA), free fatty acid (FFA) and acylglycerols (triglycerides (TG), diglycerides (DG), monoglycerides (MG)) in RBO-based mixture using a size-exclusion HPLC column (100-Å Phenogel) with a modified mobile phase. These compounds cannot be separated on a 100-Å Phenogel column using 0.1% acetic acid in ethyl acetate as a mobile phase. To improve their separation, isooctane was added to the mobile phase to decrease the degree of swelling of the column gel matrix and reduced the elution strength of the mobile phase. The retentions of TG, FS and DG were less affected by the isooctane content. Whereas, it had a moderate effect on the elution of FFA and MG and strong effect on OZ and FA. The separation of these compounds was obviously improved with increasing the isooctane content up to 70%. However, peaks of the polar compounds were broadened, especially for the most polar, FA. The separation on the size-exclusion column did not follow the expected elution order (molecular sieving) and showed interactions between the polar groups of the compounds to the column gel matrix. Ethyl acetate/isooctane (50:50, v/v) with 0.1% acetic acid as a mobile phase shows a promising condition for simultaneous separation of neutral lipids, OZ and its saponified compounds with a total analysis time of 15 min.","PeriodicalId":440350,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of The 3rd International Conference on Advanced Research in Applied Science and Engineering","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116666844","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
