The respondents are more than 500 SME actors in Semarang City. Data are collected and analysed by a mixed method. The results show that the SMEs have very various types of business. The length of running business also varies. Many millennials are involved in this sector. The initial capital they use is very varied. The income they receive is also very volatile. Before the Covid-19 pandemic, they generally admit that their income tends to increase relatively. However, during the Covid-19 pandemic, most of them experienced a sharp decline in results. The contributing factor that they conveyed was the existence of a government policy. This research finds that some catering businesses experienced an increased income. A type of business that uses social media assistance has also increased rapidly during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research also finds that most of the SME actors don’t receive crisis assistance through various programs. The reason is that they lack access to information. Some of these results confirm the findings of previous studies. However, most of the findings are recognized as initial embryos to be investigated further in future research.","PeriodicalId":437510,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Banking, Accounting, Management and Economics (ICOBAME 2020)","volume":"179 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123297858","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using data collected from 41 batik SMEs in the city of Semarang, the study used hierarchical moderated regression analysis with PLS which was used to test the hypothesis. The statistical results lead to the conclusion that: the variable dimensions of entrepreneurial orientation (innovation, risk taking and proactivity) have a significant positive relationship with the performance of SMEs, but the variable access to finance is unable to moderate this relationship. The implication of this finding is that financial institutions and the government need to increase their role to encourage the improvement of the performance of batik SMEs in the city of Semarang in terms of providing information, market access, capital, and training needs so that they can become a reference for determining the development strategy of batik SMEs in the future. From the batik entrepreneurs or SMEs itself, this research can be used as a guide for improving business performance through entrepreneurial-oriented behavior.","PeriodicalId":437510,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Banking, Accounting, Management and Economics (ICOBAME 2020)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132272936","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is thought to have been caused by the presence of a premium image attached to environmentally friendly products, thus creating a reluctance for consumers to have aggressive purchasing behavior towards these environmentally friendly products, so that the researcher raises a tax incentive variable which is expected to reduce the gap that occurs. This research is expected to be able to provide recommendations regarding policies regarding tax incentives for environmentally friendly products. The method of this research is by using a survey and analyzed using multiple regression by including tax incentives as a moderating variable, to prove whether tax incentives can reduce the gap between attitudes and behaviors that appear in the phenomenon of purchasing environmentally friendly products.","PeriodicalId":437510,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Banking, Accounting, Management and Economics (ICOBAME 2020)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115188983","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
