Consequently, this study suggested a model of the effects of KMM dimensions: people, process, and technology on managerial flexibility dimensions: structural flexibility, and strategic flexibility. The responses of 168 employees working in mobile communications companies in Jordan engaged in managerial and specialised knowledge work were analysed to test the proposed research hypotheses. The results revealed that only people maturity, and process maturity have significant effects on the structural flexibility; whereas all the independent variables: people maturity, process maturity, and technology maturity have significant effects on the strategic flexibility. In the light of the results reached some practical implications for the explored organisations and proposed future studies have been recommended.","PeriodicalId":43176,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Knowledge and Learning","volume":"13 1","pages":"214-232"},"PeriodicalIF":0.9,"publicationDate":"2020-09-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67228790","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research focuses on three important dimensions, namely knowledge, ICT and human capital. This study adopts a modified Delphi technique to seek the important dimensions that can contribute to the development of Malaysian's KS. The Delphi technique involved ten experts in a five-round iterative and controlled feedback procedure to obtain consensus on the important dimensions and to verify the proposed definition of KS. The finding shows that all three dimensions proposed initially scored high and moderate consensus. Round one (R1) proposed an initial definition of KS and required comments and inputs from the panel. These inputs were then used to develop items for an R2 questionnaire. In R2, 56 out of 73 items scored high consensus, and in R3, 63 out of 90 items scored high. R4 was conducted to re-rate the new items, in which eight out of 17 items scored high. Other items scored moderate consensus and no item scored low or no consensus in all rounds. The final round (R5) was employed to verify the final definition of KS. The findings and discovery of this study are significant to the definition of KS and the development of a framework in the Malaysian context.","PeriodicalId":43176,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Knowledge and Learning","volume":"6 1","pages":"142-161"},"PeriodicalIF":0.9,"publicationDate":"2010-08-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67228295","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The present research investigates the extent to which Greek hotels had developed the electronic customer relationship marketing (e-CRM). The study verifies the practices that frequently appear in relationship marketing process within online operations or whether their internet presence mainly depends on the basic actions of 'supplying information' and 'reservations'. Also, it investigates the effects of e-CRM system on customer loyalty and satisfaction as well as the impact of relationship marketing practices to customer retention and acquisition. They have understood the importance of using electronic channels instead of traditional ones to implement their marketing strategies. Thus, e-CRM system has assisted hotel business to manage more effectively their reservations and serve their customers as fast and as effective as possible. The resulting sociotechnical systems are referred to as Significant Learning Communities (SILCs), since learning is based on interpersonal relationships and – by design – combines knowledge construction with personal growth. Self-organised co-actualisation processes can unfold in a way that flexibly adjusts to personal (as well as environmental) requirements, resulting in effective, fluent processes. The paper characterises SILCs, identifies their challenges and unique benefits and discusses the functions of web-based tools.","PeriodicalId":43176,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Knowledge and Learning","volume":"4 1","pages":"383-397"},"PeriodicalIF":0.9,"publicationDate":"2008-12-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://sci-hub-pdf.com/10.1504/IJKL.2008.022058","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67228262","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
