One key yet overlooked component of solvent development is how the physical properties of solvent and impact CO2 mass transfer and wettability of packing surfaces. Developing a better understanding of certain physical properties including viscosity, surface tensions and contact angle and how these can be manipulated to increase CO2 mass transfer will be important to further optimize the performance of aqueous amine solvents. Additionally, understanding the changes as a result of the additive can also be used to increase CO2 adsorption rate and mass transfer. The measurement of amine solvent physical properties and how these can be manipulated using additives to increase CO2 mass transfer will be examined.","PeriodicalId":430053,"journal":{"name":"PCCC5 Conference, 17th-19th September 2019, Kyoto Japan","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121824769","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
