{"title":"Analysis of Differentiated Learning Needs in Mathematics Subjects in Class 5 of SDN 182 North Bengkulu","authors":"Henny Herlina","doi":"10.58723/jentik.v2i1.137","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.58723/jentik.v2i1.137","url":null,"abstract":"This research activity aims to analyze the need for differentiated learning in mathematics at SD Kurikulum Merdeka in the fifth grade of SDN 182 North Bengkulu. The utilized research methodology involved a descriptive qualitative approach, employing a case study framework. Data collection encompassed observation, interviews, and document analysis. The findings of the investigation suggest that there is a requirement for implementing distinct approaches to learning mathematics in the fifth grade of Merdeka Curriculum Elementary School, located at SDN 182 North Bengkulu. Several factors underlie this need including the various levels of student understanding, different learning styles, and the diversity of students' abilities and talents in mathematics. Based on data analysis, several differentiated learning strategies that can be applied include (1) the use of learning materials that are varied and vary according to the level of understanding of students, (2) giving assignments or activities based on student's interests and talents, (3) the use of various learning media, (4) heterogeneous study group settings, and (5) providing additional support to students in need. This type of research is survey research. The study was conducted in October 2022. The research sample was 27 students from SMAN 3 Bengkulu Tengah. Sampling is done by purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used was a closed questionnaire consisting of 18 positive statementswhich was developed in the form of a modified Likert Scale with 4 answer choices, namely strongly agree, agree, disagree and strongly disagree.The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis. This research is a follow-up research that has been done previously which is only limited to the analysis stage, this research uses the ADDIE model RnD method. But in this research, it is only up to the development stage. This study uses an expert validation sheet assessment instrument that contains aspects of material, language and media. Based on the results of product validation tests that were validated by experts so that the percentage score for the material aspect was 85.45%, language was 87.50%, media was 89.58%, and interest in learning was 90.63%. The final result of the average score is 88.28%, can be categorized as very valid and the results of the student's perception response show very well with a percentage of 86.23%.
