During the journey from Anyer to Thailand, precisely in the Galasa Strait, there was a high temperature alarm on cylinder no.2 of the main engine, this resulted in the main engine experiencing a slow down which finally shut down. The purpose of this study is to find out the factors that cause high exhaust gas temperatures to maintain the performance of the main engine, to find out the impact of high exhaust gas temperatures to maintain the performance of the main engine, and to find out the efforts to overcome the high exhaust gas temperature to maintain the performance of the main engine. In this study, a qualitative research methodology with the fishbone approach method used for the object to be observed is described with theories obtained from various sources regarding the materials used, as well as efforts on the ship through observation and direct maintenance and repair of the main engine cooling system to facilitate ship operations. The results of this study find out the causative factors of the high exhaust gas temperature, due to clogging of the the hole of fresh water cooling seat valve, which is caused by sludge deposits and rust debris that accumulates in the hole of fresh water cooling seat valve, The impact caused by the causative factor is the high temperature of the exhaust gas. The efforts made are to clean the hole of fresh water cooling seat valve, treat the water, and clean the pipe it aims to maximize the cooling system and the exhaust gas temperature is in a normal state.","PeriodicalId":42810,"journal":{"name":"Indonesian Biomedical Journal","volume":"3 1","pages":"1-7"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2026-01-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://ejurnal.pip-semarang.ac.id/ijme/article/download/922/353","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"147891985","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to determine how the process of implementing the Tahfizh Pakistani method and the results of its application to improve the quality of memorization of students. This study uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach of the Kemmis and McTaggart model which consists of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection, which are carried out in two cycles. Data collection techniques use observation, documentation, and oral memorization tests. The results of the study showed that the application of the Tahfizh Pakistani method significantly improved the quality of students' memorization. Teacher activity increased from 77.88 % in cycle I to 90.38% in cycle II, while student activity increased from 73.68% to 93.42%. The results of the student memorization test showed that in cycle I, only 6 out of 11 students (54.5%) completed the process, with an average score of 12.18 (very good category ) , while in cycle II it increased to 9 students (81.8%) with an average score of 13.27 (very good category ) . Thus, the application of this method has been proven effective in improving the quality of students' memorization at the tahfizh boarding school.","PeriodicalId":42810,"journal":{"name":"Indonesian Biomedical Journal","volume":"2 4","pages":"4726-4748"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2025-10-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://e-jurnal.jurnalcenter.com/index.php/micjo/article/download/1233/1000","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"147915564","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Background (Specific): Despite its clinical importance, limited data exist regarding the prevalence and immunological impact of HAdV-7 among adult patients in Iraq. Knowledge Gap: The relationship between HAdV-7 infection and interleukin-6 (IL-6) levels in adults with respiratory illness has not been well characterized. Aim: This study aimed to detect HAdV-7 in adult patients with respiratory infections using RT-PCR and to evaluate its association with IL-6 levels. Results: Among 100 patients and 50 healthy controls, HAdV-7 was detected in 7% of cases, with no significant association with age, sex, or residence. Patients infected with HAdV-7 exhibited significantly elevated IL-6 levels (101.75 ± 25.17 pg/mL) compared with controls (39.26 ± 11.09 pg/mL, p ≤ 0.05). Novelty: This is one of the first molecular investigations in Iraq to link HAdV-7 infection with heightened IL-6 responses, highlighting the virus’s role in driving inflammatory pathways. Implications: Monitoring IL-6 levels may serve as a biomarker for disease severity in HAdV-7 infections and support timely therapeutic interventions to reduce complications.Highlight : HAdV-7 detection by RT-PCR shows its link with increased IL-6 levels. Molecular methods enhance sensitivity for early diagnosis. IL-6 monitoring can guide prognosis and therapy. The prevalence is very high; however, determining it is almost impossible due to the wide range of heterogeneity among people and the varying times of exposure to chelation agents. Aim: To find out the prevalence of endocrinopathies and their types among patients with Beta-thalassemia major. Patients and Method: A retrospective descriptive cross-sectional study, in which the data of 172 thalassemia major patients who consulted the AL-Faihaa Specialized Endocrine, Metabolism and Diabetes Center (FSEMD) during the period from the first of September 2008 to the first of July 2017, were analyzed, and the results were obtained. Results: The study showed that out of 172 patients with Beta-thalassemia major, endocrinopathies were reported in 165 (95.9%) of them. Growth hormone (GH) deficiency, secondary Hypoparathyroidism, non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM), and hypogonadism were the commonest endocrine complications. Age of the patient and duration of disease were primary risk factors significantly affecting the prevalence of these complications. Highlights : High Prevalence of Endocrinopathies: 95.9% of Beta-thalassemia major patients had at least one form of endocrine disorder, indicating it as a major complication. Common Types Identified: Growth hormone deficiency, secondary hypoparathyroidism, non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, and hypogonadism were the most frequent endocrinopathies. Risk Factors: Older age and longer disease duration were significantly associated with a higher prevalence of these endocrine complications.
